Is Tony Abbott a changed man?

Is Tony Abbott a changed man?

The question posed by Liz Hayes on Sixty Minutes had some interesting responses.

60 Minutes

60 Minutes (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Margie said he has changed and grown.   Well he’s obviously given up on his prospects of being Pope, so that’s a change, and they won’t keep the position open until after the 14th Sept as his second option anyway.

His sister who has come out of the closet says that his attitude to Gays has changed, although that could have been a dollar induced epiphany, when he sold his arse to Murdoch.

She also couldn’t lie about her vehement disagreement about his stand on same sex marriage, which in itself is interesting, as apparently the Gay sister can’t lie, but the rabid right Catholic has no trouble at all in lying through his teeth.

He did however clarify his position when asked about being “Loose with the truth”, stating that in the heat of political discussion they all say things that are ‘less than honest’ (My words).  My question to that is, then who was he having a heated political discussion

with, at his plethora of pressers, when he said, numerous times, “Whyalla will be wiped off the map?”,  or “Wrecking ball through the economy?”, or every time he quotes one of his three word slogans, which at best are designed to mislead and at worst are downright lies?

And we know he’s changed his mind many times on policy, being referred to as a “Political Weathervane” by no less than the “esteemed” Laurie Oakes.   We know that he went from saying that Climate Change was “Crap”, to being a  “True” (Gag) believer who wants to give lots of tax payers money to big business on the off chance that they may spend some of it to change their dirty ways, and charge us for the privilege.

All the while telling us that his plan is sooooo much better, even though all the experts say it won’t work and will be much more expensive than what we already have, which in the first six months of operation saw an 8.6% reduction in power production emissions.

A fact that he and his party live in denial over, as they do with any facts that tell a  different  story from the one that they are promoting.

We know that he will put thousands out of work, take money from pensioners and the disadvantaged, introduce austerity measures, based on a Costello style audit, that will take us down the path of Europe and now QLD, and all for the sake of following an out dated and disproved ideology.

So, is Tony Abbott a changed man?… You bet your life he is.

He has changed from Howard’s political thug and head kicker, to the biggest threat to democracy and way of life, that this country has ever seen, AS Murdoch’s puppet!

  4. Last week he said that AFP had its budget reduced. Channel ten then went to AFP commissioner who said budget had increased by $300,000. Straight out lie.

And, barely keeping the smirk off his face, he said that Baillieu to Napthine was an ‘orderly transition’ which then became the line of the day for Coalition MPs.

I think that he lies so often – not spin, not exagerration but outright lies – that its as natural now for him to lie as to tell the truth.

I envy you the chance to see Neil Young, I still play some of his songs, “Needle and the damage done”, “Comes the time” etc, and teach them to some of my students, although I can’t play the mouthorgan like I used to due to my lung disease. 😦

Bob Bell, welcome and thanks for your comment 😀

Unfortunately we hear these sorts of claims from the uninformed all the time, so maybe you would like to enlighten us as to what indebted mess you are referring to.

Is it the fact that we currently have an economy that’s the envy of the developed world?

Is it the fact that we have the lowest debt to GDP ratio by far, of comparable nations?

Is it the fact that we have a AAA rating?

Is it the fact that our unemployment rate is around 3% lower than the USA and 12%+ below many countries in Europe?

Is it the fact that our interest rates are very low, along with our rate of inflation?

Is it that we have a carbon price that has dropped power production emissions by 8.6% in the first six months of operation?

To name but a few, or is it just that you believe everything that the lying, scumsucking, bottom feeding LNP and their complicit Murdoch owned MSM are feeding you to lead you like demented sheep to the slaughter on the altar of tea party ideology?

Or is it that you are a self serving rich man who doesn’t give a crap about the future of this country or our kids?

As far as our farms, CSG seems to be doing that fairly effectively 😯

And what lies are you referring to, and don’t say the carbon “tax”, as that is one of Abbotts, if you bother to read the whole statement instead of the sound bite they use to justify their false claims. 😯

I look forward to your reply 😀

:And put everyone on welfare, ”

I thought this PM was being condemned because she was denying people welfare. I have to agree, that Mr. Abbott, the demolisher will be dismantling all that has been achieved since Howard was thrown out

Not too sure, that many will like to see the likes of the NBNco go. Some even believe in man made climate change, due carbon emissions, which are best addressed by putting a cost on those emissions.

Some may agree with Gonski, that the present system of funding education is not fair and is wasteful.

Some might believe, it is fair to have special taxes on super profits, and would like to see it collected, when the upturn in ore prices allow this to occur. Yes, it is a tax on super profits. No super profits, no revenues collected. Working as planned. Could it he harsher, is another question.

What we do know, above are all on the list for Abbott the demolishers list, to be sent to the scrap heap.

NDIS is now being debated in the Lower House.

Hi Truth seeker, you know of me, because i make comment in the IA. ( Red dragon) I made the comment that I voted NO, that Abbott hadn’t changed ,you said you would have said yes, I do agree with you all the way but as you saw the false result they have taken the yes vote to be in his favour ,He has changed from Howard’s thug and head kicker , to the biggest threat to democracy and way of life that this Country has ever seen.(just pinched that from your page)(:-) but they haven’t realised that, and just took the vote as a positive for him.that is why i said No. if you get what i mean. My husband is of the same view as you too , but Im looking at it from someone who can’t see out side the box , IT was a silly question .I have just discovered your site and I like it. I don’t get any gardening done !!!
I have left my comments on channel nine’s face book and other channels face books, at least they are on there for many to read.hoping someone will do something to stop this thug getting to the top job. Then you get someone who writes .” What Tony Abbott did years ago doesn’t matter, Julia Gillard’s problems are now”. I had to reply to that one.
The Media and the liberals are doing the same thing to the PM now, trying to scare them to change leaders , as they did to Kevin Rudd and that is when panic sets in . I hope they don’t do that this time.. they should stick it to the end, maybe the people will realise she isn’t as bad as they have been let to believe.
I will continue to put the words out there it might just help a little bit.
Keep up the good work, love to see your comments on IA.
I have also found out that the Articles on IA are published in the ” Exposing Tony Abbott ” site most probably you know that already. (:-) I am still learning. not too old is it, we learn something every day. Well im off to watch Question time . catch up with you later. cheers.
