Abbott’s Puppet Masters

I thought that it was about time for another poem, and when the inspiration takes you, you just have to go with it   😀    And this is where it took me   😯

Abbott’s Puppet Masters

Rupert "The Pirate" Murdoch, Puppet Master

Rupert “The Pirate” Murdoch, Puppet Master

Tony Abbott’s the great white hope

The man who would be King

But Rupert Murdoch’s one of those

Whose pulling Abbotts string

He calls the tune through his media

As he tells them what to say

To get his boy elected

And to get his big pay day

😯

And Gina Rinehart’s grubby mitts

Are pulling strings as well

To guide the Abbott in his quest

For economic hell

With her rabid right wing politics

Dictating bad intent

As her relevance deprivation

Proves her ideological bent

🙄

So what’s in it for these mega rich

These doyens of deceit

These self appointed Kingmakers

Who love to lie and cheat

These megalomaniac moguls who think

Ruling is their right

By buying an election win

Through journalistic blight

👿

It’s all about the power

And proving all things have their price

When the only thing they really prove

Is, as people they just aren’t nice

They have to win at any cost

To show they’re in control

When the truth is there for all to see

For power they’ve sold their soul

😦

For Murdoch it’s the NBN

That is his hearts desire

And with Abbott in his pocket

It’s an asset he’ll acquire

At bargain basement prices

He will own our internet

Making squillions more from the bleeding poor

Thanks to Tony, his LNP pet

🙄

And our ABC is something else

That might be up for grabs

With Costello’s audit in the bag

For those rabid right wing scabs

Who’ll gladly sell the family farm

To pay the debts they owe

To Murdoch and his mogul mates

Who really run the show

😯

And Gina’s price will be less taximages

And mining rights galore

And dirt cheap labour for her mines

And mega bucks to score

And sharing in the medias spoils

To prove her relevance

While trashing the economy

Like marauding elephants

😥

So let’s not kid ourselves about

Just what this really means

Cos with Abbott, running Australia

It won’t be worth a bunch beans

Our services will all be cut

Our assets will all be sold

And the majority of voters

Will be left out in the cold

😯

So don’t listen to the spin and lies

Or be fooled by their deceit

For the LNP on policy

Would gain a sound defeat

So they seek to hide their true intent

And platform of national disasters

As the LNP repay their debts

To the Abbotts.. puppet… masters

👿

Well done, TS Have tweeted this asking why do people vote against their own best interests. This always astounds me. Cannot believe they can be so gullible.

Thanks again for another fine example of poesy, TS.

I agree entirely, there is no rhyme (no pun intended) or reason for it, and it astounds me also 😯

Good result for the PM, but I doubt that the MSM will let it go 👿

      Cheers 😀

Thank you TS As for the unbelievably mendacious MSM, no they will not let it go as they are still bagging Julia Gillard & huffing about how will she find the money for reforms such as NIDS etc. & how much stronger this makes the evil sleazebag, Tony Abbott. Weasels!!

As a great aside. We have just had a visit from an elderly gentleman whom I had always assumed was a conservative voter, especially as we live in a generally conservative area. He astounded us by saying he thought Julia Gillard was a great PM & was doing a wonderful job. It just goes to show you cannot judge a book by its cover as they say.

    Good stuff, as usual,
Busy hours ahead , should give you some tasty morsels to write about
    Bit pissed with Crean.
Could have at least waited till after Question Time.
Gave Abbott and Bishop a free 20 minutes on MSM to lay the boot on with the No Confidence motion.
    Julia was classy.
Don’t think it will save her though

I was very pissed off with Crean, but it was a good result for the PM and Labor. 😀

Shame the same can’t be said for the media legislation 😦

      Cheers 😀

Madian55, Welcome to my site, and thanks for your comment 😀

You are absolutely right that there are too many pollies shit scared of what Murdoch could do with the media, but if the media legislation was tough enough, and they held their nerves, his power could have been dealt with.

Now they have given him open slather to bully anyone with relative impunity. 👿

The only saving grace is that many people are waking up to the fact that if you want real news and truth, you have to look elsewhere. 😯

I would still love to see them trying to argue against truth in media legislation, but i’m sure that they wouldn’t see the irony in that either, but I think that many would 😆

    Cheers 😀 😀

    Shit, we are bleeding talent,
    where will it all end.
Is this part of the right wing LAbor plot to bring down Gillard and give Shorten a free kick.
Hell, the Labor brand is getting damaged , hourly.
The old chinese proverb, “we live in interesting times” rings true.
The LNP and MSM must be falling over themselves , with joy

cornlegend, I wouldn’t worry too much, the ones that I have seen speaking seem to be bound up with the polls, and have some kind of tunnel vision in this area.

As I am sure you are aware, I take a fairly cynical approach to polls, and can’t understand the predilection of some with MSM polls, six months out from an election, when the MSM have shown such blatant bias which is obviously in their own self interest.

IMHO they are either gutless, or extremely short sighted, or like the MSM, driven by their own self interest, or all of the above.

Either way, it is best that they clear the decks for those who can hold their nerve and focus on the main game. 😀

      Cheers 😀
