Can anyone out there tell me why we are sitting back and allowing the likes of Murdoch to trash our democracy and buy himself a government… our government, so that he can make even more money, at our expense?

Of course, he’s not alone in his aspirations, as there are a plethora of mega rich media and mining moguls lined up, who have a vested interest in buying into Australia Inc, but Murdoch is the main player.

And I do mean “Player” , as to him and his cohorts, this is just a high stakes game, a modern day version of George R R Martin’s Game of Thrones” if you will.

And sadly in this game we, the Australian voters, are the pawns, an expendable commodity, used and then discarded, at the whim of the puppet masters and their puppets.  And all for the sake of profits and power.

I must admit to being both amused and appalled at the sight of Murdoch being fawned over by some sycophantic reporter, asking inane questions of the man who is prepared to do anything to destroy our, once great, democracy, by using his vast media resources to sell us Tony Abbott, IMHO the most dishonourable and embarrassing candidate for PM, this country has ever seen .

Are we so gullible as a  nation, that we are prepared to be told who to vote for by a corrupt and blatantly biased MSM, which is owned and run by a corrupt and blatantly self serving bunch of billionaires?

Well apparently the answer is yes…. if you can believe the polls?

As I watched the aforementioned doorstop with Murdoch, the thought occurred to me that instead of just one sad little reporter with his head firmly planted where the sun don’t shine, Murdoch should have had every step of his visit to Aus dogged by howls of protest from groups of outraged citizenry prepared to fight for a return to true democracy…. but nothing!

With such a wonderful history and tradition in this country, of the ANZACS taking part in the world wide fight for the rights of freedom and democracy, one has to wonder how those that laid down their lives, over decades of conflicts, and in fact continue to lay down their lives, to this day, would feel about what is being allowed to happen here and now.

We are currently still fighting, and dying for the sake of the rights of others, overseas, while our own rights are being eroded and in fact ripped out from under us, by the lies, spin and misinformation that is a feature of the daily news cycle across the MSM.

Now I’m sure that many will scream “Alarmist rubbish” but is it?

You only have to look at what Murdoch tried to do in the American elections, and the level of lies and corruption in the News Limited camp in the UK, as discovered by the Leveson enquiry, to see that this mob will stop at nothing to realise their ambitions.

I have mentioned on previous threads that my sister, who lives in the UK and never talks

Tony Abbott and David cameron (photo news limited)

Tony Abbott and David cameron (photo news limited)

politics, is now the first to bring up the damage that the Tories  are doing, and if you remember the interview that Abbott gave while in the UK over the Christmas holls. He stated the he was too busy to read the Justice Rares  court ruling on the Slipper debacle, because he was “Busy doing important work on behalf of the nation”.

That work involved talking to and learning from David Cameron, the Tory who is doing so much damage to the UK, that normally A political people are outraged by; measures like the bedroom tax which hits the least well off whilst his government is giving the wealthy another 2,000 pound tax break.

Do we really want this for our country?

Are we happy to have the terms and conditions of our country and lifestyle dictated to us by  the likes of  Murdoch and Rinehart?

Are we really that stupid?

I for one, sincerely hope not.

Cos if we are that stupid, then what we can expect is:

Great article Truth Seeker, as always.
Really enjoy your musings, and agree with all {thats scary!!]
Just read a new report says there are now Seven Classes in GB.
Don’t think Abbott will revert to that.
He only needs THEM and US.
He’ll look after them and stuff us.

I have put a link at the PUB, and let as many as possible know through such wonderful sites as CW, IA, TPS, AIMN etc. iI do appreciate all the shares and encourage any that like an article or poem to post a link. 😀

I also appreciate your concern for spreading the word, and hope too, that you can grace us again with more comments and support 😎

Thanks for another great article with much passion & from the heart, Truth Seeker. 🙂

What was even more astounding was the fact that this man thought he should give a press conference at all with all the journos fawning at his feet!!. He who usually is so secretive he slithers in & out of Oz after having given his editors & Tony Abbott their orders. I was amazed, & revolted, to see him on Ch 7 TV news spouting forth his “opinions” as if they matter or are important to us. Thing was I was so fascinated by his new :”look” (was it plastic surgery, Botox, baby cord blood or all three?) that I never took in what he was wanking on about.

What gives him the right to do what he thinks he can do to us? Just because Tony Abbott is so in thrall to him doesn’t mean we should give him, & his ilk, open slather. BUT, as you say that is what WILL happen if the mindless LNP win the next election.

Elections have always been important but this will be the most important in our lifetime. The rule of oligarchs will be disastrous for us all, even the brain dead idiots who will vote for them. Grrr.

I have donated to the war chest at IA for the investigation and prosecution of Brough, Pyne and the others who conspired against Mr Slipper and, by wider definition, the government.

If I had the bucks to buy the nation, the likes of Mr Murdoch (as an unfit person) would be disallowed entry to the country. Unless, of course, the poor bugger arrived on a leaky boat from Indonesia – then I would ‘Morrisson’ him right up the wazoo.

    Enjoyed the article, TS
I am horrified at the thought of Mr Abbott, under the tutelage and God inspired/directed guidance of Cardinal Pell and that cuddly, jowly Uncle Rupert, being in charge of the country.
As Mel Brooks once said in a film, and with which comment Uncle Rupert no doubt agrees, “It’s good to be king”
For the life of me, I cannot understand just what part of the phone hacking scandal in the UK people in Oz do not find abhorrent, uncivilised, criminal, let alone just so so so cruel to the parents.
News LTD journalists hacked into a murdered child’s mobile; just how low is that?
Yet apparently the vast majority of people in this country who do not/ will not, or cannot access any media other than Murdoch-owned seem to be so complacent about or quite happy with that as to ignore such behaviour when, if similar activities had been done by an even vaguely leftish media outlet all hell would have broken loose. We know that they would be baying for blood, egged on by Uncle Rupert.
And to compound that we have shock jocks spewing forth rubbish, hate, racism, lies and plain outright lies from certain radio stations.
It’s dispiriting thinking about it, but reading blogs like this, then posting eases the pain a little
My worry is how to motivate, inform people of the facts, even just suggest, god forbid, they consider how Mr Abbott may/will affect their lives and our country. Fwiw, where I live mentioning the BER and asking if they’d like the building demolished has an effect and also the disappearance of the back to school money does make some squirm, which means I can nearly live in hope

Yes, Khtagh. That would be sweet. And Margie could ask for the divorce she has (supposedly) been hankering after. I would be disgusted with his lying, deceitful behaviour if I were Mrs Abbott, and that so and so would be sleeping in the spare room until the divorce came through – bugger going to heaven if you had to live that hell.

Saw that particular ‘bell’ in the auction items list too, Joy. NLP. Neuro Linguistic Programming. Funny that the letters when rearranged are LNP.

It isn’t just arrogance, it is also a form of magic, imo. Sending out specific resonances in written and verbal form to hypnotise, and make their visualisations ‘concrete’. No kidding. Just like some songs can make you cry. And dog whistles that some can hear. Word games. Some subtle, some not.

I have been told “If it isn’t in writing, it doesn’t exist” by several different people over the years.
That is why our efforts at countering the lies, clearing up misconceptions and exposing blatant ignorance and possible criminality, is vitally important. Putting questions out there and building alternative ‘visualisations’ is part of the resonance power we have individually. The fact that there are still so many awake after the onslaught of negative press and the outrageous, devious and disrespectful behaviour of the opposition towards this government, does give me hope. And this government has been a remarkable success under the circumstances. The LNP’s success so far at manipulating the so called ‘polls’ (not real public opinion – that requires casting a vote) and having the media chorus singing to their tune, is going to slide disastrously when the record groove wears out to a crackling hiss. Just like the monotony of the SOSO motions that got slapped down time and time again in the HoR. Tony & co will fail. There. I put it in writing. So mote it be.

Here, Truth Seeker makes us laugh as well – a kind of ‘white’ magic to counter the dark mood that is being weaved around us. Resistance is NOT futile.

      Tinfoilhatter, you are dead right.
As a songwriter I have found over the years that a message in song can impact emotionally, where as the same message spoken can have little or no impact at all.

Likewise poetry can move people, as the natural cadence has a type of hypnotic effect that can help to relax, and in some cases bypass the natural neural defences.

This is also true of subliminal implants, which work very effectively at a subconscious level to the same effect.

I read some studies done in these areas in the sixties and seventies, one in particular that used subliminal implants in movie theatres, by substituting one frame every now and then, throughout a movie, with a shot of a coke bottle, and during the intermission, sales of coke increased by, from memory, around 30%,

And you are also right to say that laughter can counter the effects of that neural programming, as it can help to reinforce the natural neural defences bypassed by these types of nefarious programming activities, which in the cases you cited, are designed to get us to believe things that the aforementioned defences would normally reject.

You are a font of wisdom and good sense 😀 😎

Keep up the good work, 😎

      Cheers 😀
