Tony Abbott’s Character.

Tony Abbott’s Character.

With Abbot and the LNP tying every underhanded trick in the book to destroy, or besmirch, peoples characters, from Thomson to Slipper to the PM, I felt that it was time for his character to be brought back into the spotlight.

Now at least some of his chickens look like they’re coming home to roost, but theΒ sad scary thing is that because the MSM won’t do the job that they should be doing, and that the public expect of them, it’s left up to us of the fighting fifth to expose Abbott’s shortcomings.

But unlike the MSM, we won’t shirk our civic duty Β  πŸ˜€

Tony Abbotts Character.

According to the Abbott,

Our Prime Ministers character’s flawed

He’s stated this repeatedly

For points, he thinks he’s scored

All based on innuendo,

And the stories they have spread

But with no proof of her wrong doing

The horse he’s flogged, is dead

So with accusations flying

And the main casualty, the truth

And the emphasis on lies and spin

Instead of having proof

It’s time to look the other way

And check out the accuser

The man one who wants our PMs job

The democracy abuser

And Tony Abbotts character

Is plain for all to see

He’s a political thug and pugilist

With shades of misogyny

And he claims he’ll be the saviour

To all our countries ills

But he’s more like the Man of la Mancha

Always tilting at windmills

And the ills he oft refers to

Are our sad economy

And the carbon β€œTax”, That wrecking ball

That’s bad for you and me

And β€œillegal” boat arrivals

That he says he’ll turn around

And the mineral Rent resources tax,

But his thinking’s just not sound

Cos the economy is powering on

And interest rates are low

And as an indicator of character

His lies are all on show

And he’s promised Β “to start” Β growth again

When we’ve been growing now for years

And he claims our debt is massive

Trying to build on peoples fears

And that wrecking ball, the carbon β€œTax”

Is more than we can bear

Cos it won’t reduce emissions

Despite reductions already there

And he says his plan is better

Planting trees Australia wide

Whilst giving money to the rich

To help them stem the tide

Of Anthropogenic Global Warming

Which Abbott thinks is crap

But he’ll do and say whatever it takes

To get Government dropped in his lap

And he won’t develop policies

Just take them from the IPA

Which allows the Abbott to devote his time

To throwing dirt all day

Calling refugees illegals

Says a lot about the man

And turning leaky boats around

Is still his master plan

And he says he’ll consult with experts

But he’s ignored them up till now

Rather listening to his right wing mates

Like Gina the great cash cow

He set up his own slush fund

The law, his aim to bend

He’s tried destroying peoples lives

Even one he called a friend

He lives by the assumption that

The end justifies the means

Proving that his morals

Aren’t worth a bag of beans

So when it comes to character

The Abbott’s sadly lacking

But he thinks it doesn’t matter

Cos he has the Murdochs backing

And when it comes to morals

The LNP’s a farce

And when it comes to Tony Abbott

He’s not… a PMs… arse

Good Morning, Truthie. Well, you’ve excelled yourself this time. Love it. And I especially love ‘the fighting fifth’, and the last line, which modesty does not permit me to quote.
Yes, the tide has begun to turn, although slowly, and at last people are starting to notice.

    • Truth Seeker says:

Good Morning Kate, and thanks for your comment πŸ˜€ and kind words 😎

Yes, we are the “fighting fifth”, and the fight is for truth, our county and democracy. πŸ˜€
against the almighty dollar and those that wield it πŸ‘Ώ

And I think you are right, the tide is starting to turn and people are starting to notice 😎

      Cheers πŸ˜€ 😎

You have grown and grown with your great perceptions and your ability to put it into words. Another truthful effort, may it continue.

    Well done! Perfect πŸ™‚

Another perspicacious & ingenious poem, Truth Seeker. πŸ™‚ Congrats, it’s tops although I do have one little issue & that is its title. Tony Abbott doesn’t have any character whatsoever or in any way shape or form. None, nil, zilch, zero, nowt, zip, zippo, diddley-squat, nada. In other words his character in non-existent. πŸ˜†

    • Truth Seeker says:

Joy, thanks for your comment πŸ˜€ and fine assessment 😳 πŸ˜€

I do agree that he really doesn’t have a character to speak of, 😯 but it was in regards to his claim that our PM’s character was in question and therefore a classic case of pot and kettle πŸ˜€

But I did enjoy your emphasis on the many ways of saying NONE πŸ˜†

      Cheers πŸ˜€ 😎

      • Joy Cooper says:

Thanks TS. πŸ™‚ Yes, Abbott is one pot who, most definitely, should never be calling the kettle black.

  5. Joy Cooper says:

    Not in *is* blush.

  6. Sandra Searle (@SandraSearle) says:

You really have the knack for telling it like it really is TS. Thanks for making me laugh again.
Yes Joy, methinks that TA is going to be left with black or maybe a lot of egg over his face as his litany of lies and bull dust start to make it harder & harder for him to cover his tracks. The lies always catch up with you in the end.

    • Truth Seeker says:

Sandra, thanks for your comment and feedback πŸ˜€ It’s good to know that you can bring a bit of cheer, while trying to tell it like it is 😎

      Cheers πŸ˜€ 😎

Brilliant. Love it, love it, love it! Sharing far and wide. We need to keep that tide a turnin’…

Thanks for your poem. Made me smile.
Maybe you should forward it to some hip hop artists and they can put a wicked beat with it.
Would make good hold music for the ABC.

    • Truth Seeker says:

orangefox, welcome to my site πŸ˜€ and thanks for your comment and suggestion 😎

Unfortunately I don’t know any hip hop artists, but I do have a recording studio, so I may be able to put together a killer beat. πŸ˜€ So if I can find the time I might give it a go.

      Cheers πŸ˜€ 😎

  18. Very good blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?I’m planning
tto start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything.

Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go
foor a paid option? There are so many chhoices outt thewre that I’m totally confused ..
    Any ideas? Bless you!

    • Truth Seeker says:

Alberto, welcome and thanks for your comment πŸ™‚

I went with the free platform, but it really depends on what the site is for, and if you can afford to pay for the paid option?

      I wish you well πŸ˜€

      Cheers πŸ˜€

  19. Kate Ahearne says:

Hi, Alberto. I just noticed your comment. Please don’t be offended, but might I suggest that you begin by working on your comments? Time spent drafting and proofreading your work is never wasted. Go for WordPress – no point spending good money on an untried blog. Find your feet first, then you can always switch to a .com if you want to.

  20. Kate Ahearne says:

Hi Truthie. Please forgive recent silence – I’m recovering from a devilish chest infection. Feeling a lot better, so I’ll try to keep a better eye on the goings-on. I don’t suppose you’ve been inspired by the BMW debacle?

    • Truth Seeker says:

      Hi Kate, πŸ™‚ I’m glad you’re feeling better πŸ˜€

Nothing about Beemers yet, but I’ve been pretty busy the last couple of weeks 😦

      Cheers πŸ˜€
