In the Abbott’s Comic Book, he says he’ll consult with experts!   WTF?

John Howard in Coffs Harbour, NSW Australia in...

Now after watching “Little” Johnny Howard’s interview whilst representing… I’m not sure who,  at Ding Dongs funeral, I was going to write a post about how the conservatives seem to be devoid of any real sense of humour.

The observation upon which that assumption was made, was when I was reminded of that alleged laugh that he has, which gets his mouth moving, but shows no pretence of real mirth, and goes nowhere near his eyes in the usual way that a laugh does.

And Abbott’s laugh is much the same, staying pretty much confined to his mouth and feelling somewhat forced and false.

Abbott having a good belly grin

The other tell tale sign is that laughter is usually somewhat infectious, at least producing a smile in response, but when Howard or Abbott laugh, I just feel angry, like my usual senses have just been violated and they’re not being honest even in their laughing.

But I digress, as after reading in Abbotts comic book that he will “consult with experts” I have been forced to come to the conclusion that he must have some sort of sense of humour after all!

The very fact that he can make that statement whilst maintaining a straight face and even go so far as to put it in writing is laughable.

This is the man (?) who’s economic policies, during the GFC, were widely condemned by the vast majority of economic experts. The same experts who supported Labor’s  stimulus packages and were later proven to be right on both counts.

The same man (?) who said that AGW was “Crap” despite the vast majority of climate scientists (experts) warning of the consequences of ignoring the overwhelming evidence that it is a clear and present danger.

The man (?) who continues to ignore the experts over his Asylum Seeker Policy, over his Direct Action Plan, Over the NBN and the list goes on!

This is the man (?) and his party that have built an entire political campaign out of ignoring “The experts” for the sake of political expediency/ideology.

But then I suppose he/they would argue that they have listened to their own experts like; Jones, Bolt, Hadley, Murdoch, Rinehart, Monkton and the IPA, not to mention his entire front bench who are all legends… in their own lunch boxes, and experts on everything.   😯

So in conclusion, I was wrong   😯    cos Abbot must have a sense of humour, as he can’t honestly believe that anyone with even half a brain could take that statement as well as the entire contents of his Comic Book as anything but a joke.

So when Abbott points to his OUR PLAN Comic Book, and then says he will “Consult with Experts” My first reaction was WTF!   But my next reaction is… Good one Tones   😆   😆   😆   😆   😆   😆   😆

Tones "OUR PLAN", What a hoot.

Tones “OUR PLAN”, What a hoot!

  1. Fed up says:

I am surprised the the comment, ” I listen to experts”, was not picked up before this.

I wonder who are the experts he listens to. They do not appear to be in step with the majority, no matter the topic.

Then maybe it is Abbott, who is the only one in step.

Mr. Costello summed him up last night, when he said Abbott had told him he has ceased kistening to the advice of Mr. Santamaria, and was listening to him instead. ABC 7.30

Listening to Mr. Costello, another nearly as lazy is dangerous in the extreme. Another as lazy as him. A man who says doing nothing, is the best way of saving money. Well for most of his treasuryship, that is what he did. Nothing.

    • Truth Seeker says:

Fed up, thanks for your comment 😀

Yes, I also thought that it was funny that no-one has picked up on that statement, as it is a complete joke based on his past efforts.

Listening to Costello is Abbott running true to form, another “expert” with no qualifications other than a dubious tenure as a politically appointed treasurer who presided over the most profligate government in our history 😦

A man who’s Relevance Deprivation Syndrome is being massaged by his right wing nut job mates Newman and Abbott 😯

      Cheers 😀

    • Renee Davis says:

Hadn’t realised this before – but your use of the word ‘lazy’ strikes an absolute chord. Costello did nothing – and Abbott is promising to do nothing. His ‘policies’ thus far amount to a failed make over of the Government’s NBN and a promise to undo everything the Government has already done. The only note of originality from Abbott is the ludicrous maternity leave that no one else on either side of politics agrees with and which big business is openly rejecting – so that wont make it to the election. You got it in a nutshell, Fed Up. The coalition are work shy. Their strategy of simply bagging the Government in lieu of actually doing some work seems to have paid off thus far in the polls. It will be interesting to see if it goes the distance. If any work is involved for them between now and September 14, clearly they will fold.

Hi TS a good post again

I totally agree, his expert are :- ‘ex’ being an unknown quantity ‘spurt’ being a drip under pressure. His are basically unknown drips under pressure.

I cant stand seeing Bordello on TV now, trying to rewrite history after some negative publicity over the last few months, he got the budget surpluses by selling the farm & the countries gold reserves.

    • Truth Seeker says:

khtagh, thanks for your comment, love it 😆 😆

Yes I’m with you, Bordello 😆 = another conservative with little or no sense of humour, or for that matter sense of right or decency. 😦

      Cheers 😀

Hi Truth Seeker, Yes, you’ve hit the nail on the head again. But don’t forget Cardinal Pell – our expert on spirituality and child sexual abuse.

We seem to be as one on these matters.

  5. andyrob65 says:

    Very nice piece TS.
I can’t help but notice in the last week or so, all the old boys coming out to comment on shit (Reith last night, Costello etc). It makes me think that the current LNP have lost it and need all the help they can muster from the old boys?
But wait, maybe they are the experts?? hahahaha the whole thing is a joke.

    • Truth Seeker says:

andyrob65, welcome to my site, 😀 and thanks for your comment 😎

I have been reading you comments on AIMN for some time, and it’s good to see you here too 😀

Yes, I made a comment a day or so ago, WRT the ABC rolling out and supporting all the “Polished Turds” , and it seems equally true for the rest of the media as well. 😯

In the minds (?) of Abbott and the LNP I am sure they consider them all experts 😆

      Sad really 😦

      Cheers 😀

  6. 2gravel says:

    Truth Seeker
So, if abbott is doing so good, just why are they bringing out all of the hasbeens?

    • Truth Seeker says:

Gravel, thanks for your comment 😀

Good question, maybe it’s because there is a realisation in the LNP ranks that he is only one or two brain farts away from political oblivion, and taking them with him. 😀

I know I for one would not be happy about trying to control that particular loose canon.

      Cheers 😀

  7. Gordon (aka GordonWA) says:

Hi Truth Seeker, I enjoy your musings and am pleased you picked up this topic. I have spent many years impotently raging at the TV and have only recently discovered sites like yours and Independent Australia and The Political Sword where I can have my say. I saw Abbott’s comic book launch on ‘their’ ABC and was so angry at his claim to consult experts after he constantly dismisses them that I was compelled to make my first post on IA about this issue.

Like you, and other commentators, I am disappointed that the MSM/ABC just regurgitate Abbott’s nonsense and never even think to ask the obvious follow up questions.

    Keep up the good work

    • Truth Seeker says:

Gordon, welcome to my site 😀 and thanks for your comment 😎

Yes I must admit I was gobsmacked when I read it, and thought it needed to be said.

He is such a hypocrite and the media just gloss over it 😦

I am glad you have found my site, and hope you can comment again 😀

      Cheers 😀 😎

  8. cornlegend says:

lost none of your touch !
great stuff as always, and plenty of ammunition to stick it right to them
    Truthy, you;re a legend

  9. Dennis Ball says:

I find myself wondering about his “gospel truth”. Considering how many whoppers are in the bible, the “gospel truth” is not a phrase I find very appropriate to describe a truthful statement.

    • Truth Seeker says:

Dennis, welcome 😀 and thanks for your comment

I’m afraid I don’t agree with your statement about the Bible, but I do think that mans interpretation is full of whoppers, and the LNP have turned lying into an art form. 😯

Abbott is far from a good example of Christian values, and his front bench are just as bad 👿 and I agree that Abbotts use of “Gospel Truth” to describe what he says is far from appropriate. 😦

      Cheers 😀

  10. Good one TS, i have shared it on FBk and Twit and in the last minute it has been reTwt’d again. glad i found you.

I appreciate your feedback, and your sharing 😎 and I am also glad you found me 😀

      Cheers 😀 😎

  12. says:

How could you vote for Tony Abbotts liberal party after reading this questionair.

  13. frontad84 says:

When Abbott starts in to jeer
With a leer from ear to ear
    His mouth dribbles shit
    And reminds you a bit
Of an arsole with bad diarrhoea.

I couldn’t resist commenting. Well written!
