Mr Murdoch, please get your grubby mitts off our democracy.

Mr Murdoch, pleae get yout grubby mitts off our democracy.

With each passing day now, the MSM is becoming increasingly shrill in it’s efforts to

remove our duly elected PM, and as the election looms large, and the last sitting week of the current parliament moves inexorably to its conclusion there are questions that should be asked.

There are portfolio and policy questions that should be asked of the government, by the opposition Β  πŸ˜† Β  But sadly they have spent this entire parliamentary term focused on asking spurious questions on; Rumour, innuendo, speculation, lies, fear and smear, and all but ignoring portfolio and policy questions.

I, as I suspect many others, would like to knowΒ WHY? Β  Β But sadly, not only do the LNPΒ NOTΒ like asking valid and relevant questions, they refuse to answer them.

There are policy and portfolio questions that the MSM should be asking of the government and opposition MP’s Β  πŸ˜† Β  Β But sadly they are too busy asking spurious questions on;Β Rumour, innuendo, speculation, lies, fear and smear, and all but ignoring portfolio and policy questions.

Is it just my imagination, or am I starting to detect a pattern here?

And again, it begs the question Β WHY?

There are also questions of ethics, morality and motives that should be asked not only of the alleged journalists who write the spurious crap that we, as a nation, have been subjected too for the length of this parliamentary term, but also their editors and the mendacious moguls, Murdoch and Rinehart et al.

But the most pressing question, in my mind, for these moguls and their mindless and gutless sycophants, who have made every effort to trash their own, once well respected, career paths is, Β  “HOW DARE YOU?”

  • HOW DARE YOU… think that you have the right to report opinion as fact?
  • HOW DARE YOU… think that you have the right to ignore the facts, in pursuing your own agendas?
  • HOW DARE YOU… think that you have the right to trash our world renowned economy for the sake of promoting the totally unscrutinised and unaccountable LNP?
  • HOW DARE YOU… think that you have the right to choose our Prime Minister for us, based on the wants of a handful of mega rich media owners who’s motives are nothing but their own self interest?
  • HOW DARE YOU… put that gross self interest ahead of the the national interest?
  • Mr Murdoch, HOW DARE YOU… think that you, who was quite prepared to give up your Australian citizenship as a matter of financial expediency, and take up US citizenship, can now come back to Australia, as an American, with the sole intent of subverting our political and democratic processes?

So to all you so called journalist of the spectacularly failing fourth estate, and all you “News” anchors and reporters in the mendacious MSM I say;

  • Get some self respect.
  • Get some integrity.
  • Get back to reporting the news, not trying to make it.
  • Get some BALLS!

And to that most mendacious American megalomaniac, we should all be saying loud and clear;

Mr Murdoch, please get your grubby mitts of our democracy!

And to all those that love this great country, and value our democracy I say go toΒ CHANGE.ORG and vote for our democracy.

Maybe if the Labor party has the guts to deal with the rats within it’s ranks. the media would have nothing to write about.

I know that is drastic, but in hindsight, it should have been dealt with three years ago.

The present situation that Labor now finds itself, the the behavior of Rudd, proves the action they took at the time time was inevitable.

Trouble is, they should have cut the cancer, but disposed of it permanently.

Time for the handful, of malcontents, to shut up, or get out of the government and party.
Time for them to fix the problem, not be the problem.

All they are doing, is to bring on a earlier election, that allows Abbott to go to election day, without costed and detailed policies.

    Is that what we want.

It is Abbott that is desperate for a early election date, even at this late stage. We are talking about less than a month,

WHY IS HE SO DESPERATE TO BRING THIS ABOUT,

I suggest he fears a proper campaign period led by Gillard. He would also not mind to go in Caretaker PM mode.

I am a masochist, listening to MPI about the cost of living, introduced by Truss.

Now, Mr. Andrew has told me, we only have to look at out local shopping centres, with all the empty and boarded up shops. Went on with a long list of other examples, that business is on their knees, and people are saving not spending.

Now that made me think, as lately whenever I go out , on a bus to my local Curves during the week, I have time to fill in, waiting for buses, due to the poor services.

Now, what I have noticed on more that one occasion, my local shopping centre and car park is aways crowded. No empty shops there. Well, people do appear to be buying.

Well maybe that is one out example, but then I remember, next door is a large complex that has been built is the last few years. Yes, Bunnings and Harvey Norman plus many small shops. I do not understand, they are also have a business in each. I know, the older complex would now be empty. I wander up, but know, no empty businesses there.

On the way home, further up the Highway, I see a large Coles complex and many shops. Yes, built in the last couple of years. Yes,car park is full, no empty shops.

Now, I look to the other side of the road, where they are soon to begin to build a large Aldi, to open next year. I wonder if the company knows they are wasting money, opening a new shop. Well that is what the Opposition is telling us.

The icing on the cake is the new Woolworths complex, nearing completion nearer my home. Wonder why they are building, if the economy is so bad.

Now, this area I have described did not exist, years ago. So, I know where those empty shops are, they are over at the older part of the area, So I wander over, because I have a medical appointment, Yes the businesses of old have disappeared, but every shop and office, is now full of doctors and other medical people. Yes, this suburb has moved on, becoming a medical centre,

Now, the Central Coast of NSW is far from wealthy. Many still travel to Sydney to work, but it does appear more prosperous now, than a few years ago..

Maybe others, are living in those areas,l of boarded up shops and failing businesses where no one is game to spend.

Spot-on Truthie. I just hope that it’s not too late, that Sept 14 is not a foregone conclusion and Mendacious Murdoch doesn’t get to bother with us for another 3 years, by the end of it his power and influence would be out of control wouldn’t it? This whole situation kind of reminds me of ol’ Nikola Tesla, have you heard of him? The most brilliant genius who ever lived possibly, electrical engineer, physicist, inventor, who invented the AC electrical system and built a tower that would have provided free wireless energy to the whole planet. But a man by the name of JP Morgan who was bankrolling Tesla, shut the tower down when he learned there would be no way to regulate the energy and therefore he couldn’t profit from it. Does this JP Morgan fella sound like somebody that we know or what?! Rich scumbags who’ll deprive the majority of things that they need or make our life easier just because they couldn’t make money from us out of it, and they hold all the power. And you’d think these rich scumbags had enough money anyway. Murdoch is worth how many billions? Do you think that he can take it with him when he expires from this world? But no, that’s not enough, and he wants us to not have an NBN and a free press and the right to know the truth, because of his greed and desire for more $$$, simple as that. It all comes down to $$$. Too much money makes a person so downright evil Truthy. Just look at Gina Rinehart as well. They just keep wanting more and more and more and f* the rest of us who have to make do with less just so they can have more. OK that’s my little thought for the day. Sorry for the rant. Many independents are backdoor conservatives, who could not get pre-selection by the LNP, & they are not all as fair-minded, balanced & altruistic towards their communities as Rob Oakeshott or Tony Windsor. As for the Greens, particularly with Christine Milne AKA Meg Lees, at the helm they are only too happy to snootily send their preferences to the LNP, if it suits their purposes, which does not necessarily benefit the needs of the people At the moment they are against the amendments to the 457 visa rorts as they feel they are “Xenophobic” for godsake. The fact that they are meant to help Australians get first crack at the available jobs, as well as helping to protect foreign workers from exploitation, means nothing to them.

We must do all in our power to MAKE SURE the evil & grossly incompetent Axis of the Coalition is not allowed to swagger, unchallenged, into Government aided & abetted by Murdoch & Rinehart. Sure we have lost this part of the battle but we must not lose the main event.

Hey guys, as you know I’ve always been pretty upbeat about our chances with JGPM, and I tried very hard to be fair to Krudd and give him the benefit of the doubt.

I have said for a long time that capitulation was not an option, but I never really thought that while we here are doing all we can to keep the faith and spirits high, the weak as piss, gutless wonders on the back bench of the ALP would be so shit scared of Murdoch’s influence, that they would be the ones to capitulate.

I still cannot stomach the idea of Abbott running this country into the ground, but I have to say that I am so thoroughly disgusted with Krudd and his whiteant band, that I really don’t know how I will be able to get the inspiration to support the ALP in the same way that I have to this point.

I was working on a song for the campaign, which will probably not get finished. 😦

Milne and the minor parties are a bunch of no account hypocrites, so if we walk away from Labor, we hand the country to Abbott/Murdoch, and in my mind that is untenable.

Well, Joe is fat. And so am I. Let’s not get sidetracked here. Julia has made mistakes – in this she’s just like you and me.

We need to find a way to continue her work. She’s asked us to do this.. So how can we proceed?

Kate, don’t worry, we’ll keep up the fight, it’ll just take a day or two for people to get over the anger and frustration πŸ˜€

Most know that Abbott and Murdoch are the real enemies, and Julia said to keep up the fight, so I think that most will, although I know some have quit the party in disgust and I understand how they feel. 😦 But we have bigger fish to fry 😯

Keep up the good work 😎

    Kate,
    Calm down,
β€œshe called me fat’ Joe is a term everyone on just about every site is calling Joe Hockey.
It is just pointing out how ridiculous Hockeys statement was, after all the sexist vile crap they had laid on Julia.

cornlegend, I still prefer “Sloppy Joe”, which is no reference to his weight, but how he is sloppy when it comes to truth, facts and his approach to the economy. 😯

Which may have something to do with his lap band surgery cos he was fat.
Maybe the band was put in the wrong place cutting off the oxygen to his brain?

I wuz pretty pissed orf, I have to say, but I’m mostly over it now, just feel a bit flat. 😯 which is hard for me cos I’m fat too, according to my dietician. The bitch πŸ˜€ only kidding, she’s actually very nice πŸ˜€

I have been trying to write something to rally the troops, but there are many that are not happy little Laborites 😦

      But i’ll give it a shot πŸ˜‰

Yes, one of the things that got to me was the raging hypocrisy of the commentators waxing lyrical about Julia after they had orchestrated her demise… Absolute SCUM! πŸ‘Ώ

Truthy, I too have been feeling a bit flat over the events of yesterday. But as I commented last night if we don’t support Labor we will be handing this country to Abbot on a plate. Now, after a miserable day of reading others desolation on various sites, coming here and seeing the positivity coming back into your and Cornlegends posts makes me feel sooo much better! Never give in, never surrender. We must not let those grubs in the LNP get their hands on Julia’s legacy.

Melaine, thanks for that πŸ˜€ and yes it is a sad time for those of us that have put so much effort into supporting Julia and the ALP.

But we cannot capitulate, cos our country, our democracy and our future is at stake, and I am currently writing about this now, for my next post πŸ˜€

Keep your spirits up, cos it’s a long hard fight ahead, and we and our country need good people like you and all my fine contributors to fight for what is right.

We’ll deal with Abbott and Murdoch first, and then we can focus on fixing the ALP.

Julia asked us to fight, and for the sake of her legacy that’s what we must do πŸ˜€

      Cheers πŸ˜€

Hey Truthy, speaking of Murdoch stealing our democracy, did you know that when Rudd was PM first time around, he very nearly gave the contract for the Australia Network to Murdoch’s Sky News?! He ignored the recommendation of the Foreign Department to return the contract to the ABC but instead created a new mechanism to put the contract up for tender and this independent body was going to recommend giving the network to Sky News. If not for Rudd being ousted and Gillard giving Conroy the final decision, which he did by going against the decision to award it to Sky News, the Australia Network – our ABC – would be in the hands of Murdoch by now!

Doesn’t that give you chills? Imagine Murdoch peddling his lies under the guise of being the ABC. If you think this country is screwed now…

I think that Rudd is Murdoch’s puppet through and through.

Still think that he’s worth voting for?

Hi Bridget, and thanks for your comment, 😎

Yes I did know that, but as I said “TheBIGGEST Threat is Abbott/Murdoch”, so we’ll deal with them first, and deal with Rudd later.

That is part of the reason the the MSM were pushing for Rudd, because Murdoch thinks he’s got a better chance with Rudd if the unthinkable happens, and the pleebs People don’t do as they’re told, and vote Abbott in.

The truth is that we WILL get either the ALP or the LNP, and even with Rudd the ALP are light years ahead of Abbott and his Murdoch owned cronies.

So I’m not voting for Rudd, I’m voting for our country, our democracy and our future. πŸ˜€

      Cheers πŸ˜€
