Who’d a thunk it?

With all the serious stuff going on over the last couple of weeks, I thought it was time for some light relief, so here’s my take on LNP lies, spin and general stupidity   😉

In this wide brown land Australia

Tony Abbott is the bloke

But who’d a thunk he’d make PM

The man’s a bloody joke

Many thought he was a thug

A rabid right wing git

And Abbott proved his doubters right

Crikey! Who’d a thunk it?

He spoke in slogans, spin and lies

While Murdoch had his back

With his media empire trying to hide

Abbott talking through his crack

They fought minority Government

With a view that we should dump it

But they failed, despite their dirty tricks

Who’d a bloody thunk it?

😀

So the government ran to its full term

And the election date was set

But with the help of the ALP

We’ve now got Murdoch’s pet

Cos there were some within the ALP

That didn’t give a crumpet

As they sought to bring the party down

And who’d a freakin’ thunk it?

So despite a good record, Labor lost

And Abbott won the day

He gloated, and then true to form

He bravely ran away

To formalise his cabinet

From those who love a junket

With Abbott as the worst offender

Shock, horror, who’d a thunk it?

There’s Brandis and Bananaby

And Julie Bishop too

Who like to go to weddings

Subsidised by me and you

There’s book collectors and footy fans

All rorters, Who’d a thunk it

But Abbott’s still the master of

The taxpayer funded junket

😈

With the cabinet finally all sworn in

They tried to make a start

By implementing tow backs

That policy brain fart

But Susilo said “We won’t have that

So like it or just lump it,”

Then Abbott started back pedalling

And who’d a bloody thunk it?

🙄

He said that tow backs weren’t the plan

And to that end he tried

To dismiss the video evidence

That clearly shows he lied

But many ministers rallied round

All trying to debunk it

The LNP all telling lies

I must say, who’d a thunk it?

😉

And Hockey’s budget emergency

Just didn’t come to pass

As economists from everywhere said

He’s talking through his arse

And he didn’t just talk the economy down

He really tried to Junk it

But it turned out he was talking shit

No really, who’d a thunk it?

🙄

He said we need big surpluses

And stop the wasteful spending

But the thing we know is Sloppy Joe

Wont provide a happy ending

Cos he talked about our “massive” debt

So big your couldn’t jump it

Then he raised the ceiling and the debt

And no one would a thunk it

The two things we can know for sure

Are Abbot and his cromies

Are just economic vandals and

Environmental phonies

Abbott once said climate change is crap

Now he’ll bare his chest and thump it

About bush walks proving his greenie cred

I wonder who’d a thunk it?

So with lies and spin and secrecy

They’ll run this country down

With Abbott playing PM and

Sloppy Joe, the fiscal clown

As they slash and burn the economy

And in three years they’ll have sunk it

And none of this surprises me

Cos I’d a bloody thunk it!
