The Geriatric Bishop!

When Abbott appointed the geriatric Bishop as speaker, I knew that parliamentary standards were doomed!

A right wing nut-job who is at least a decade past her use by date, and showing signs of physical, intellectual and moral atrophy, in control of parliament is literally putting a lunatic in charge of the asylum.

She will undoubtedly go down in Australian political history as the worst speaker ever, which will fit well with this government’s dubious record of;

  • The shortest honeymoon period for a new government.
  • The most dishonest government.
  • The worst PM.
  • The worst treasurer.
  • The worst foreign minister
  • The worst education minister.
  • The worst communications minister.
  • The worst and most corrupt AG.

But then we are not even 3 months into their term yet, so I’m sure there will be more to come Β  😯

The Geriatric Bishop.

Β

When Bronny Bishop got the job

Of speaker for the Abbott’s mob

She promised to play straight and fair

Whilst bringing honour to the chair

She said β€˜name calling I’ll not abide

While in the chair I do reside’

But from the first she took a hit

As all she promised turned to shit

😯

She claimed β€œMadame Speaker” as her tag

Then declared herself a right wing hag

With her first clear ruling all could see

Her allegiance to the LNP

As Chrissy Pyne quickly broke the rules

Their Bronny treated us like fools

As name calling she declared OK

Despite her promise the previous day

πŸ™„

And from there it all went straight down hill

As the ALP had had their fill

They moved a motion of dissent

Against the speakers right wing bent

But the Liberal Bronny didn’t care

With her self satisfied grin and her helmet hair

Cos although she’d not been there one hour

She was already drunk on right wing power

😈

And that was only her first day

With right wing bias, the state of play

And though we’re not yet three weeks in

The chair’s well tainted by her spin

And the office well and truly trashed

As her duty, and her bias clashed

For rules and precedents she’s despised

With points of order not recognised

😦

And so the standard has been set

By this senile hag, who’s Abbott’s pet

With lies and spin her stock in trade

And her right wing bias well displayed

She’ll work to trash democracy

For the sake of the fascist LNP

And make our question time a farce

With rulings straight… from Bronny’s… arse

😯

We can thank the good voters of the Division of Mackellar for continuing to re-elect this useless old bag. They must have no critical thinking powers whatsoever to keep on & on & on voting for Bronwyn Bigjobs. Doubt she has ever done anything for the electorate or its people.

She is a disgrace to the worthy position of Speaker. It is symptomatic of all that is wrong with this alleged government.

    Thanks Truth Seeker. πŸ™‚

Joy, thanks for your comment 😎 and support πŸ˜€

Yes, you have to wonder what the voters of Mackellar see in their local member, but then the same could be said for Abbott’s, Pyne’s, Hockey’s, Hunt’s, Morrison’s, turnbull’s and the other Bishop’s electorates etc?

She like the rest of the LNP are absolute blights on the political landscape, and the sad thing is that they are well paid for the self promoting work that they do, in the name of public service? 😯

      Cheers πŸ˜€

Thanks TS. Agree with you re the others. Pyne & JBishop have electorates in areas with only Murdoch or Stokes RW media so their voters do have the flimsy excuse of only hearing one side of the political story. However the rest have electorates in areas where there is a bit more media diversity so there is no real excuse for the voters inflicting these no-hopers on Australia.

Truthie. Yep. Definitely on the improve. I’m seeing the surgeon this arvo, and hoping to be home in Tassie next week. I know I’ve missed some terrific opportunities to stick my oar in, but just haven’t been up to it. Anyway, I’ll be back on deck pretty soon. Just trying to catch up and keep up with the goings-on at this stage. I’ve been popping in to The Lounge to sneak a peek at the piggywigs and scoff down a few of Mel’s delicious nibbles. (I know the piggies have been blamed for some of the disappearing delights, but it wasn’t all their fault.) Love to you all.

Well done again Truthy, your kindness has shone through as you went quite lightly on this escapee from the Mackellar Institute For The Hopelessly Insane.
Since her escape she has refused medication and listens to not only the myriad of voices in her head, but dances to them as well.
Psychiatrists and psychologists globally have come to the ACT to openly study what happens when a person suffering Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar and Multi Personality Complex act when given the power to control Parliamentary sittings.
These same professionals are now concentrating their efforts in various Australian cities and towns to see how this phenomenon was created and have found that nearly half of the country`s population is insane.
They`ve recommended Virologists to examine the water supply, the newspapers and their TV viewing habits.

I love the way, that Pyne whispers in the elder Bishop’s ear, during QT. Has happened on more than one occasion.

If one believes the leaks, the elder Bishop has led the charge against the ABC within party meeting

Does not believe in the Jenkins philosophy, that the speaker should withdraw from party discussions. In fact he believed, and practice the belief that one should not attend or take part in party debate.

None of that rubbish for the elder Bishop.

I nearly fell off my chair yesterday, when Hockey entered the chamber to report on the arrangements he made with the Greens. Now when the like of this happens, the Opposition is given leave to reply.

As Hockey finished, and without any lead from Hockey or anyone, the Speaker then said that Hockey was adding to a answer he gave in QT.

That meant the Opposition was not allowed to reply. First time I have ever seen this behaviour, in many years of watching parliament.

Joyce now on, Qantas posting a loss. Cutting another 1000 workers. MC not face to face, but conference call.

Instead of wasting taxpayer’s money on sending our navy out to sea, wasting time and money on fuel to tow those terrible illegal boat people back to Christmas Island, we’ve decided to wait for them to land on the island themselves. We don’t even have to feed them, because we figure they can eat coconuts and crabs and there’s plenty of fresh water available. The system was working very well from Monday, but then the silly buggers decided to go on a sight-seeing tour around the island. Unfortunately for our plan, they were found and delivered to the compound. Now we’ve got to feed them!! What a blow to our new policy.

Cornie, one has to forgive, but definitely not forget the past.

I so not believe that was what Mandela was about.

I believe one has to confess their wrong doings to be forgiven.

Claiming at this time, that you were always on the side of Mandela and anti apartheid does not wash.

What was important that the truth was established.

Truth and Reconciliation Commission (South Africa)

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) was a court-like restorative justice[1] body assembled in South Africa after the abolition of apartheid.[2] Witnesses who were identified as victims of gross human rights violations were invited to give statements about their experiences, and some were selected for public hearings. Perpetrators of violence could also give testimony and request amnesty from both civil and criminal prosecution.
The TRC, the first of the nineteen held internationally to stage public hearings, was seen by many as a crucial component of the transition to full and free democracy in South Africa. Despite some flaws, it is generally (although not universally) thought to have been successful.[3]

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truth_and_Reconciliation_Commission_(South_Africa)

Yes, it was not about rewriting history, or hiding ones head in the sand.
