Abbott: No lies, no broken promises… No?… Really?

Abbott: No lies, no broken promises… No?… Really?

And my farts don't smell either!

And my farts don’t smell either!

The absolute gall of this government is mind-boggling, as the lies fly like bullets at a Bolivian drug lords convention, while election promises are reclassified as commitment free zones.   WTF?

And after 100 days of the worst and most incompetent government ever, we have;

  • Abbott giving himself a big tick, and pat on the back, for a job well done.    W…T…F?
  • Abbott saying effectively that he’s happy with his performance, despite;
  1. Relationships trashed.
  2. Most neighbours upset.
  3. Trashing our international reputation on CC at Warsaw.
  4. Genuine concerns around the world that Australia’s NOT open for business.
  5. Policy failures.
  6. Enough backflips to qualify them as a Chinese Olympic acrobatics team.
  7. More broken promises, than kept ones.
  8. Promising “No Excuses”, then trying to blame Labor for literally everything, and taking no responsibility for anything.
  9. Lying about… lying?

And as the next attempted con job looms large, with an expected deficit somewhereimages approaching $50 Billion, $20 Billion up on the pre election forecasts of only three months ago, we will hear ad-infinitum, how bad Labor was, is and will always be   😯   as well as them ignoring the truth and the facts in trying to say that the extra $20 B, is money that they had to spend because of Labor’s mismanagement.

No wonder they were prepared to wear the “Hypocrite”tag over their deal with the greens, as without it, they’d be back asking for more credit every six months.   😦

Now I seem to remember that when the Tax receipts fell, (due to the transitional nature of our economy) under Labor, there were NO EXCUSES, according to the LNP, it was all Labor’s fault.     Now that the tax receipts are continuing to fall under the LNP, there is an excuse, and that is “It’s all Labor’s fault”.   😯

The fact is, that this (and I use the term loosely) government, has done little if anything to improve our future prospects, or to boost confidence in the real world, with;

  • Trade relations with Indonesia on shaky ground, as they look to new markets for their food security.
  • Abbott desperate to sign “Free Trade Agreements” with anyone, which leaves negotiators in no doubt that they can include what they like, and the “Blunder from Down-under”  will sign it, almost definitely without even reading it.   😯
  • Question marks over investor confidence wrt the GrainCorp decision.
  • Public service cuts looming.
  • Unemployment numbers rising.
  • Holden closing due to Abbott’s rudeness, ineptitude and gross stupidity.
  • The falling dollar, meaning imports will start to get more expensive, impacting on consumers and the retail sector, even though exporters will see some benefits.

So, with Abbott still not learning the lesson that “Self praise is no recommendation”, and the LNP trying the old tried and true propaganda method of tell a lie loud enough and often enough and people will believe it, even though many have woken up to their “Don’t let the truth get in the way of winning” attitude, the really frustrating thing is that there are still no journalists prepared to call him out on his lies, or even to simply ask;

Abbott: No lies, no broken promises… No?… Really?

I feel totally sick to my stomach anytime I hear, see anything LNP 😈 and Abbott 👿 has even my darling 🙂 infuriated.
In 41 years of marriage I have never seen her like this with a politician 😯

  2. Pam Rawlings says:

Me too, I can not bare to look at his lizard face, I just want to smack it and tell him to grow up and get over himself. My Husband and I both scramble for the remote when he comes on. They should post a warning before he appears, people could do themselves a mischief when taken by surprise.. The worst thing is he believes his own lies.

    • Truth Seeker says:

Pam, thanks for your comment 😎

I have to admit to wanting to thump him too 😯

A warning would be help 😀 and you are right, he actually does believe his own lies 😦

      Cheers 😀

    • olddavey says:

When he’s standing next to someone being interviewed you are just waiting for that forked tongue to shoot into their ear.
He may not be human. I think when he used the word suppository he meant “anal probe”.

  3. Bighead1883 says:

I`m afraid Truthy that the way this mob of LUNATICS 😈 are going, you will get RSI 😦 typing all their stuff ups and wrong doings.

    • Gilly says:

I have more trouble typing straight because this lot make my head spin so fast. With so many U turns etc just going in circles, there has to be a limit to how dizzy they are, cause they keep falling over themselves.

  4. Gilly says:

The lies, spin broken promises are bad enough. I can only hope that they are so bad as to guarantee the LNP will not be elected in again for a very long time. But there are two problems. The first how much damage will be done and how long will it take to undo the damage. The second is. with so much bullsh*t, how many people, especially younger ones, will be further turned off from engagement with politics? Turn too many people off and the quality of debate and government will eroded even more.

Extremely well said Truth Seeker. 🙂

Occasionally, I make the mistake of peeking into the dark side of RWNJobbery in Twitter. It isn’t a pretty sight with allegedly intelligent people, repeating without any questioning, the Murdoch, IPA & Liberal propaganda & lies as fact. These people have no critical thinking abilities whatsoever & seem to truly believe that Abbott et al are the bee’s knees & can do no wrong. They are totally dismissive of anything Labor governments have accomplished, even when they, themselves, will have gained major benefits from these initiatives. They just dismiss them all, prattling off all the Textor & Credlin slogans & buzzwords without any apparent understanding of them being just that, not reality. They will not even acknowledge any good that Labor does because that means, in their eyes, they are wrong in their blind, unthinking support of Abbott & the Liberals & they can’t have that. This is why they resort to nasty judgemental abuse when they are losing the argument.

Keep up the good work, Truthie.

    • Truth Seeker says:

Joy, thanks for your comment 😎 and continued support 😀

I agree entirely, the nut-jobbery of the RWN’s is astounding 😯

Ad Astra at TPS has written an article on the different ways that the right and the left think, which is interesting, and certainly worth a read 😀 I added to his article with a comment about how I believe that it is a case of the right of politics also using more of the right side of the brain, where those from the progressive side of politics are more creative thinkers, and use more of the left side of the brain. 😯

      That’s just my observation 😀

      Cheers 😀

      • joy cooper says:

Thanks TS. 🙂 Do think you are 100% correct. There can be no other explanation re the obduracy & obtuseness of the RWers. They are completely & utterly blind to all the myriad blunders & faults of their government. Their inability to see anything beyond the length of their nose astounds me. 😯 😆

        • Truth Seeker says:

Yes Joy, there are times when all I can do is shake my head at their absolute blind, deaf and dumb stupidity 😦

There are none so blind, deaf and dumb as those that will not see, hear or think! 😯

          Cheers 😀

  6. Fed up says:

Well since this government came to power, we have seen us lagging behind the rest of the world when it comes to employment, growth and the share market growth.

Maybe it is time for this government to talk about the economy, and forget their obsession with debt.

Could it be, we should be look at growing the economy instead.

There is more to the economy and debt much more.

we are fast from having one of the best economies in the world, to lagging bad behind, Not bad for a government that has not bought down a budget, but sees jobs being lost every day.

It seems only to be a matter of time, before the three AAA ratings go.

To rub salt into the wound, the debt, if that important is now out of control. I suspect much of what we see now, is bad debt. Yes, debt that is not used for investment in our future. Debt that is caused by cutting, leading to decreased revenue.

Money for NDIS, Gonski, CEF and NBNCO, were investments in the future, leading to growth. Much growth.

This government’s action is even cutting us off from taking leading role in the Asian Century.

Good governance demands that one first identified the problems.

This government is so bounded by their own ideology, They lack ability to accept , or even seek advice.

They are so obsessed with the word debt, they do not see what is happening around them. Are incapable of doing what is needed.

What we had, was an economy that was traveling well. One of reasonable growth, inflation, Low unemployment. Decent share market. Low taxation and government spending. In fact a small government.

It was performing better than most, with three AAA ratings.

    • Truth Seeker says:

Fed up, Yes the sad fact is that if they are not careful, while the rest of the world is slowly recovering, we will finally slip into the recession that we thought was long gone. 😥

This government is a laughingstock around the world, and will ruin Australia if something is not done to wake them up to the realities of economics, from their ideological dreams 😉

      Cheers 😀

  7. diannaart says:

Good one Truthie – I’m sure that Tony-my-farts-don’t-smell Abbott saw the Kevin Kline character in a “Fish called Wanda” as his inspiration:

  8. June says:

Here it is – 2015 – and Abbott’s still recycling the same old lies. I always wondered how he was able to sleep at night, then I had the realization that he’s a sociopath and that explained it.

    Liked by 1 person

    • Truth Seeker says:

Morning June, and welcome to truth seekers 🙂

Yes it’s scary to realise that the so called “Leader” of our country is nothing but a liar and a sociopath 😯 and supported by a cabinet that’s full of them too 😈

But then the LNP as a whole has been infiltrated by them, as self interest has become their primary motivation 👿

We and the world in general will be a much better place, when the zealots and right wing nut-jobs have been purged from it 😯 starting with Newman in just under two weeks 😀

Thanks for your comment 😎 and I hope you can join our conversations again 🙂

      Cheers 🙂
