MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas in the post-War United States

With only a couple of days to go till Christmas, I was hoping to have a poem to post, but although I have started  “Abbott’s Christmas Bash”, it is a long way from finished due mainly to a couple of weeks of health issues, and family stuff.

If I can get it done before Christmas, it will still go up, but if not, it may well end up as “Abbott’s end of year bash”   😀

But in the mean time,  I would like to take the opportunity to thank all you fine truth seekers, for your continued friendship, support and contributions.

Cornie… Mate thanks for your friendship and support, and the amazing job that you do with your posts and links for all us truth seekers… You are a LEGEND!    😀

Mel, Biggy, Russ, Kate, Consider… You guys are great, with your comments and senses of humour, and you really took the lounge for exactly what it was meant to be, and made it even better   😀

Fed up, Olddavey, Joy Cooper, Diannaart, Gilly… your input, comments and continued support are greatly appreciated.   😀

We are all friends here, and it’s a real joy to welcome new commenters, especially hearing from those that have been visiting for a while prior to making their first comment.   😎

And also a special thanks for those that follow my musings, that “Like” my posts, and choose to share on twitter and facebook, as you really do help to spread the word   😀

So as we come to the end of the first year of Truth Seekers Musings, I have to say that I never thought it would be anything more than an archive for my poems etc,  but thanks to all of you it has become much more.

I am truly humbled by all the support I have received, and as we approach 100,000 visitors, I just want to say:

From my regular and occasional contributors, to all the lurkers, who just pop in to read my musings and all the fabulous comments and links that get posted, I want to wish you and your families a safe and happy Christmas, and a happy and prosperous new year (despite the looming political mess and further degradation of our democracy).   😀

So please, stay safe and well, rest and rebuild, and come back after the holls stronger and more determined than ever to take the fight up to these bastard Tories   😯

Truth Seekers Musings will continue over the holls with more musings, for those that want to comment or just enjoy the chatter, and all are welcome.   😀   And the Lounge will always have a warm welcome for weary visitors, with Mel’s world famous custard tarts and muffins, for your gastronomic delight   😀

Hi Truthie, thanks for providing me and all the other readers and contributors with some very creative and entertaining musings and also for giving me and others a forum to vent our spleen on a whole range of topics. I wish you and all your fellow musiners all the best over Christmas and hope we can all continue to make sure Abbott and his fellow criminals become a one term Government. I was going to say have a whale of a time over Christmas but i will leave that to Greg Hunt. Cheers.””

Wishing a very Happy Christmas to all and a special thanks to you, Truthseeker, from those of us who are less internet savvy… the ‘toe dippers’ who don’t do the Facebooks or Twitter things…. but who could no longer watch silently as our great Nation and way of life is assaulted from within.

You have provided a comfortable venue for us to learn; to share observations; to see our own thoughts reflected back and expressed in clear, reasoned and even amusing outpourings from your good self and so many of your contributors. May the New Year be a Happy and Healthy one for all of you. I leave you with a Christmas Story to reflect on………

There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses. One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God with no actual address. He thought he should open it to see what it was about. The letter read:

    Dear God,

I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension payment. Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with, have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me?
Sincerely, Edna

The postal worker was touched. He showed the letter to all the other workers. Each one dug into his or her wallet and came up with a few dollars. By the time he made the rounds, he had collected $96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman. The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her friends.

Christmas came and went. A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God. All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened. It read:

    Dear God,

How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me? Because of your gift of love, I was able to fix a glorious dinner for my friends. We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your wonderful gift. By the way, there was $4 missing. I think it might have been those bastards at the post office.

    Sincerely, Edna

Truthie, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Your humour has been well used to shine a light onto the depths of darkening depravity that is our present government. I know of several people who have become more political aware, through your “Musings”. All the best for the season and a wish for the light at the end of the tunnel to bloody well get amove on.
To Cornie, Big Head and all the others, Thank you, there is a very great hope for future and every little bit of support encourages and maintains the rage. 🙂 🙂

Gilly, thanks for that mate, it’s really nice to know that we are helping to make a bit of a difference. 😎

Sadly, with this bunch of “High Calibre” Morons, that we laughingly call a government, there is an awful lot more to do. But as someone commented on another site, today, the blogs are becoming a force to be reckoned with, as more and more people look to the internet for the truth 😯 or just a different opinion from that of the MSM! 😉

Mate, the very best of wishes to you and yours, for a safe and happy Christmas and new year, 😀 and like you, I hope that the light at the end of the tunnels comes quickly, and doesn’t turn out to be a train 😯

Take care, and a big Christmas CHEERS 😀

Top o’ the season Truthie and to all. I am still recovering – not for overindulgence (although that has been true on occasions in the distant past) I am simply recovering from a lovely lunch in my neighbourhood, the Dandenongs spent with my sister and her family – and those few hours was all it took for me to sleep all day yesterday and to exhibit some signs of life today. Well, worth it say I.

Hoping all at AIMN had as blissful a time as I.

    Bring on 2014!

It won’t be long now, although the last three months seemed like an eternity, so a whole year will be absolute hell 😦
