Said the Abbott to the treasurer.
As this pathetic excuse for a government approaches it’s first budget, and with the lies flying thick and fast from the Abbott and his cronies, I thought it was time for another poem. 😯
And after much consideration, I decided to make it another in the “Said the Abbott…” series, and this is it. 😀
😉
Said the Abbott to the treasurer.
Said the Abbott to the treasurer
There’s a snow job still to do
To address the large imbalance
Between the poor and the richest few
We need to make adjustments
To reflect our own agendas
And to hide the fact that the LNP
Are the billionaires defenders
😉
The wealthy need the lions share
Of tax breaks and supports
To help them build the economy
By Mogul, welfare rorts
But the problem is, those pensioners
Who want more than their share
How dare they think that they deserve
A system that is fair?
🙄
I mean, they’ve lived a bloody lifetime
And most have naught to show
But they think that just because they’re old
The welfare funds should flow
Now with these, we must tread carefully
To protect our supporter bases
So we’ll do them over gently
While we put on friendly faces
😉
But those disability pensioners
Are something else again
Cos they’re just a bunch of bludgers
Who can’t work… cos they’re in pain?
Amputees and the terminally ill
Should shut their whingeing gobs
Then take a bloody Aspro
And get back to their jobs
😛
And then there’s those that claim the right
To see a doctor for free
Well that’s not gonna happen here,
With the glorious LNP
User pays, is our belief
And if they think that’s tough
Well go and whinge to someone else
Cos we don’t give a stuff
😯
All Medicare locals will be gone
While renewables take a hit
With cuts to public services turning
Labors legacy to shit
And the assets sell off, was a coup
For all our wealthy mates
As you shifted blame from the government
To the stupid, bloody states
😉
And bloody Clive has said that he
Will stop us in our tracks
He’ll even reconsider keeping
That bloody carbon tax
So we have to hit them hard and fast
And give ourselves a pass
To do whatever else it takes
To sell Australia’s arse
😈
If we can get the budget through
Then the country’s been done over
While the rightful rulers of the land
Will find themselves in clover
So hold your nerve and stay your course
Cos the media, we’ll keep hogging
And the poor, and the most vulnerable
Will cop… a right royal… flogging
😥
Morning,Truthie. Lovely job again, as usual. And I notice this morning that we’re spending billions on some fancy new jets – those will be the billions we saved by hitting the most vulnerable of our citizens. Deary me.

Morning Kate 🙂 I hope all is well with you back home? 😉
Thanks for your comment an kind words 😎
Yes, the frustrating thing for me is that the initial order was from Howard, against the best advice at the time, and now that those warning have been well and truly justified, Abbott picks up where Howard left off, and added more orders on top, when the smart money would be looking elsewhere. 😯
So they can’t waste money on such frivolous things as health, education and welfare, but they can throw it away on a flock of flying lemons 😯 Good one… NOT!
Cheers 😀

Another top rhyme Truthie.
Kate, I wonder where the ‘clear and present danger’ is that we so desperately need to spend on war machines and cut back on aid for the most vulnerable?

Dianna, thanks for that 🙂
I hope the weather is treating you well, and you’re feeling stronger now? 🙂
I think there is more to this purchase than meets the eye, as all the evidence pointed to it being a bad idea, when Howard first announced it, but he went ahead regardless, and now, despite the software issues, and the expected ongoing maintenance problems and expected cost blowouts , Abbott’s signed up for more 😯
I’m hoping someone will follow the money trail, cos I’m sure that will lead somewhere interesting????? 😉
Cheers 😀

Truthy, you hit the mark again. What have we done to deserve this lot ?.
I think that that picture at the end of your poem should be used constantly up until the next election to highlight the effect this “Government’ is having not only the elderly and the
most vulnerable, but on the nation generally.
Keep up the good work mate.
Cheers.

Yes, it’s getting easier and easier to see what a warped bunch of priorities this warped bunch of RWNJ’s has. 😯
I never thought I would say this, but I’m actually starting to warm to Clive Palmer, like you do to the crazy, distant uncle who turns up at family gatherings and upsets the apple cart… just because he doesn’t give a rats what others think, , and because he can 😀
Interesting times?????? 😉
Cheers 😀

Truthy, you are right about Palmer upsetting the Tories apple cart, but I`m afraid I could never warm to what his real agenda is, that is “how much is in it for me, and how long will it take me to get it before those poor bastards wake up to me and toss me out”.
Cheers.

And besides mate we’re all on the same side, with a common goal 😯
Keep up the good work 😎

Great lyrics, and excellent rhythm! You have done well!
Regards the jet purchase, there was a good interview on tonights’ PM ABC radia program. The last guy interviewed gave a lengthy explination as to why they are a waste of money.
To put it briefly the Joint Strike Fighter plane is only properly effective when used with the F22 Raptor.
Problem is Australia has no F22 Raptor’s and they are no longer made. The US has a limited number for themselves only.
I can only hope that Palmer will cause a blocking of supply because Labor won’t.
Then someone can reverse all the idiodic decisions Tony and his Cronies have made.

Yes, there were big clouds hanging over them when Howard signed up, and many said at the time, that they were not the best option (me included) 😯
I get the distinct impression that there has been a deal done somewhere that’s tied us to this plane irrespective of the cost and well documented software and other problems? 😉
If Palmer can be believed, he will be a right royal pain in the arse for Abbott 😀 and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving dickhead 😉
Reversing the damage done will be a big job, and bigger, the longer this bunch of RWNJ’s are in control 👿 if it can be called “Control” 🙄
Cheers 😀

OF, you’re correct regarding the fact that the aircraft was originally designed to be flown with the F22.
I’ve just posted at IA.
“4 Corners did a big expose on them early last year.
They’re referred to as generation 5 aircraft. The person that 4 Corners spoke to last year, was on ABC 24 yesterday morning. He was critical of the fact that the plane does not possess comparable flat line speed, climb rate, turn rate, maximum operational ceiling, fuel capacity or armaments load capacity when compared with other generation 5 aircraft, currently in production.
A spokesperson on the ABC yesterday morning explained that none of those things mattered because airwarfare in the future would be fought “beyond the horizon”. He added that the range shortcomings didn’t affect the capacity of the aircraft to provide air defence over central Australia. I’m not sure what’s new about that given that Krupps provided the German ‘heavy fleet’ with over the horizon naval guns 70 years ago.
Our prime monster was interviewed after the announcement and was asked by a journo if there were better specified aircraft and dopey responded with, ” Err, aaah, mmmmm, well, there probably are, but they’re probably from countries that wouldn’t sell to us”.
Geez, I bit the pilots are thrilled to hear that degree of confidence.”

Mate the problem is that there are better planes, and most are owned by those that we might have to fight if it comes to a conflict… Ummm Ahhh click errr indeed 🙄

If you want the low down on the JSF planes and most other military aircraft then this is the site to visit;

Someone put this link on another blog and it’s a great website.
The MSM should have a read too as they are clueless.
