Said the Abbott to the “Smokin'” Joe.

Said the Abbott to the “Smokin'” Joe.

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge?

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge?

What a mess this mob are making, with protests almost weekly now, as the impact of the LNP lies come home to roost, and Abbott tries desperately to cover his already heavily mortgaged arse.   😯

And the story continues, with another in the “Said the Abbott…” series   😯

Said the Abbott to the “Smokin’” Joe

Said the Abbott to the Smokin’ Joe

We’ve got them on the run

Those bloody stupid voters

Really don’t know what they’ve done

Unleashing our agenda

Even though they didn’t know

Proves that when you want to get things done,

Lying’s the way to go.

And I must say I was much impressed

With your stint on QandA

As you stared down all those whingers,

Who just don’t want to pay

And it’s good that we are able still

To hold the party line

Through you and Jules and Bananaby

And the poodle… Chrissy Pyne

Said the Abbott to the cabinet

Just keep the pressure on

Cos we have to sell the budget

Though we know it’s just a con

We’ll stick with our election plan

Of lies and propaganda

And fool the people to swap our mandate

For a gerrymander

They cannot fault our logic

When we say we haven’t lied

Cos the people didn’t listen

As much as we all tried

To show them we weren’t trustworthy

With lies, our stock in trade

With fear campaigns and spurious claims

About the economy, that we made.

So now we have to hold our nerves

Against these lefty knobs

Who want to block our budget bills

And make us lose our jobs

By telling voters all the facts

Of our non-emergency

And how we fudged the figures

Talking down our economy

To justify our slash and burn

To sell and cut and sack

And return the rightful balance

To our rabid right wing pack

Like Rupert who’s invaluable

Who’s worth is plain to see

As he used his vast resources

To elect the LNP

And the truth is that the debt we owe

To Rupert is immense

And we know that he’ll want payback

By significant recompense

So we’ve hit the weak and vulnerable

And we’ll make the buggers work

Cos just between us in this room

Uncle Rupert’s a fickle jerk

And if we don’t appease him now

By giving him his due

Then he might just withdraw his support

And dump us in the poo

But the Aussie network and NBN

Were high up on his list

So let’s just hope we get them passed

Or Rupey will be pissed

Said the Abbott to Peta Credlin

In his office sanctuary

Those bloody lefty protesters

Are killing the LNP

The students are revolting

And the pensioners as well

And it’s not the aged but the LNP

That have that decaying smell

They’re calling me a liar

And they say I just don’t care

About the sick and the elderly

But that really isn’t fair

Cos I’m an equal opportunity hater

So there’s the unemployed as well

Who will have to pay the piper

In their Liberal, right wing hell

Said the Abbott to the people

You must “trust me” and you’ll see

That I really want what’s best for us

And our economy!

Said the people to the Abbott

You’re a liar and a con

And you’re there, on false pretences

And before long… you’ll be gone

Lovely stuff, Truthie. Wasn’t yesterday a doozie? There was the wink, THEN the Treasurer and the PM both getting their own Budget Papers wrong, THEN the PM and the Pyne trying to paint the students as dangerous but succeeding only in painting themselves as cowards. Wasn’t it luverly?

The Grinch only stole Christmas, this lot plan on stealing the whole future 😯

Thanks Truthie, another wonderful edition to the series… deserves a custard tart buddy 😀 … and with it being darts day it’s fortified 😆 😆

    • Truth Seeker says:

Mel, thanks for that 😀 much appreciated, and lately, my darts need all the help they can get 😦

But we have a break and a bit of fun, which is what it’s all about 😉

      Cheers 😀

I second your motion of confidence in Truthie – it is indeed lovely stuff.

I find, as I grow considerably older, that I perceive contrariness in a much more acute sense. For example, I find that all of the negative, mean and intentionally hurtful labels created by the coalition and aimed at Labor over the past 6 years, more accurately describe qualities of the current coalition government rather than the previous Labor government.

My real concern is that the truth may not swing enough of ‘North shore’ bogans back towards the light on the hill. It would be nice if we can find the method for sifting the genuine middle class wage earners from the bogans who could be granted lifetime memberships of the Liebrals, particularly the Liebral High Church of Warringah where a 10% tithe could be contributed to EightbyFive by direct debit.

    • Truth Seeker says:

Frank, thanks for that mate 😀

It certainly looks like the wheels on their eightbyfive “Little red wagon” have well and truly fallen off 😀 and have left their arses exposed to a though flogging 😉

What a great spectator sport this is turning out to be 😆 😆

      Cheers mate 😀

I watched tv for a few five minute patches over 2 hours. First time in quite a while.
While heights ethics are what they are, they are playing look the other way while the hospitals get privatised and the MSM is running full gallop with it. The distraction game. Abbot did a couple of interviews, deceit and outright lies of futures and to where this all is going. There are two main agendas, privatise health and the republic cement and both are in on it.

  5. Fed up says:

It appears the front page of the Tele first appeared in 2011. They are now recycling their filth.

  6. diannaart says:

“Now we’ve brought down a tough budget — I believe a fair budget — the budget that Australia needed,” Mr Abbott said. 😉

    Here is table detailing “fair”:

  7. Truth Seeker says:

And this says it all 😀

    Cheers 😀

    • consider says:

Truthy, did they put one of your poems to music?

      Bloody brilliant.

    • diannaart says:

      FB’d & Tweeted.

BTW I just paid double for my prescription medication yesterday – WTF? Not even July 1st (or April 1st) and definitely not funny.

      • Truth Seeker says:

You should complain about that, as that looks a lot like profiteering? 😡

        Cheers 😀

        • diannaart says:

So you think I was ripped off? They are my regular pharmacist – maybe a mistake was made. Will follow up next time I can get out.

As for link/image could be protected in some way… will work it out. At least people can see the chart.

We have been softened up – the denigration of boat people was just a start, governments both Labor and LNP have successfully convinced enough people that refugees = bad. Now LNP has started on Australian poor. The Tea Party has been successful right here in Australia. The idea of individualism being superior to cooperation is straight out of the FRWNJ handbook.

Labor cannot win at this game – they can never be as heartless as the Lieberals, in a race to the very nadir of cruel authoritarianism the Libs will always trump Labor. This government doesn’t even represent the Nats any more. Labor must return to what they used to be – a party FOR people.

          • Truth Seeker says:

Dianna, thanks for your comment 😎

You are right, the ALP just can’t be that cruel, now if they can just stop being so self destructive, we might be getting somewhere close to their grass roots “Party for the People” mindset, that they have been sadly lacking. 😦

            Cheers 😀

  8. Truth Seeker says:

    Or this one 😀

  9. Gilly says:

Truthy, yet another time when the truth, about this lot, can be sad. Adults indeed who smoke caviar and eat cigars.
