Where are the real headlines???
If there was ever a valid argument for MSM bias, this last few months has cemented that argument in the minds of many, and should be a big wakeup call to many more that we are being misled and downright lied to by a majority of those that call themselves “Journalists” and “News papers/outlets”! 😯
The truth is that if a Labor government showed even half the level of dysfunction, disunity, dishonesty, incompetence and, in some cases, corruption, that Turdball and his mendacious rabble have shown, the MSM would have been screaming it from the rooftops ad-infinitum. 😡
Now to be fair, blatant media support for the rabid right is nothing new, as all truth seekers would be well aware, but IMHO they seem to have taken their sycophancy to dizzying new heights, with their positively sickening, almost obsessive love affair with everything Turdball. 😈
Again, to be fair to them, it must have been very hard work for them to find positive spins to put on the Abbott stupidities, so Turdball, with his smarmy smile, fine suits and positive spin on his mendacious ramblings, must be like a walk in the park, by comparison. 🙄
But I digress 😛
Tellingly, the fact remains that in the 5 months, since he stabbed the Abbott in the back, Turdball and his mob have done absolutely nothing, other than 2 major reshuffles, and reinforce the failures of the Abbott debacle. 
😕
The truth is that the Abbott/Turdball, alleged, government has been plagued with scandals, waste, rorting and mismanagement of epic proportions, with a hallmark of both (And I use the term loosely) “Leaders”, being terrible personal and political judgement, resulting in disastrous “Captains calls”, any one of which, from a Labor leader, would be seen by the MSM as a “Hanging” offence! 😕
And with a cloud still hanging over Crissy Pyne and Wyatt Roy over the “Ashbygate” affair, and rumours persisting of a “Cabinet Minister” who is allegedly guilty of a serious and sackable offence, Turdball’s “New” ministry seems already on shaky ground, and it hasn’t even been sworn in yet! 😯
And the question that we all should be asking of our mendacious and misleading MSM is;
“Where are the real headlines???”

Truthy, another test for the Journo`s. Yesterday Turnbull said that he would not be taking an increase to the GST to the next election, BUT he also said that the GST is an issue for the foreseeable future.
Given that some are saying that with the deal being done by this Government, the Greens and some cross-benchers to rid the Senate of those pesky minor parties, there is a very real possibility of the LNP gaining control of the Senate at the next election, I wonder if any Journo will ask Turnbull, “How foreseeable is foreseeable ? ”

Yes mate, and the first question that came to my mind was “So you just said that you won’t take a GST rise to the election, does that mean that you’ll wait till after the election to introduce it?” 😉
To me, it seemed more telling in his choice of words, and what wasn’t said 😯 But sadly we can’t rely on the MSM to ask any hard questions 😡

If it is not feasible widening or raising GST now, why would it be in the future. What will be changed.
The treasurer made similar comment at his disastrous appearance at NPC today.
It was nothing more than over hour of waffle that amounted nothing more than filibuster, putting off being asked questions as long as possible. Hoping the ABC would go off line without too many being asked. ABC 2 did bit not ABC 24. They stayed toi the bitter end.
Ne interesting to see headlines of this one.

Mate, my understanding is that Dreyfus did write to the AFP prior to the announcement that he “Would” pay the money back 😀
I hope that’s the case, but if Braindead can find a way around it, I have no doubts that he will, cos he’s as bent as the rest of the mendacious LNP, if not more so 👿

I could not agree more – our MSM is a finely crafted tool of neoliberalism – a misinformation industry purposely refined to undermine democratic governance by chipping away at the integrity of its broad vulnerable base -the individual elector.
The propaganda arm of corporate imperialism operates in clearview – orchestrating and reinforcing groupthink at every opportunity.
It ruthlessly employs insidious Goebbels/Bernays techniques to misinform and promote false reality within the community; creating fears and prejudices that are then exploited to convince people that the oppressors are their saviors and their defenders are the enemy.
This recent article from
Common Dreams. illustrates how the US corporate MSM presents the radical neoliberal view as the norm – rational (inconvenient) reality may as well not exist in their neoliberal world.
As Bill Mitchell wrote in his blog Monday 15th Feb:
“…That is what Groupthink does – it builds an impervious layer for those trapped inside the group – they are insulated from reality, consistent logic, criticism and behave in self-reinforcing ways that may involve enlarged deviations from anything reasonable, smart or evidence based. Groupthink makes people dumb and compliant… “
MSM owners/controllers ruthlessly insist on employee groupthink – If one is not compliant with the corporate plan, one does not work in their industry.
Groupthinking, dumb, and compliant unfortunately describes almost all MSM journalists, and thus we have the electoral base of neoliberals.
To pinch some of Bill Mitchell’s concluding para on economic groupthink that equally applies to those who work in MSM:
“… the Groupthink relates to their workplaces, the conferences they attend etc, which insulate them from reality. They then respond poorly because they are dumb.
Dumb here relates to the impact of the Groupthink on decision-making rather than absolute intelligence which becomes suppressed by the motivation to conform to the group dynamic. It is an insidious patterning mechanism.”

Yes indeed mate, and sadly even many of the Journos at The Guardian fall into the “Groupthink” 😦
And any dissenting voices who have the temerity to write the truth, are quickly howled down by the gov (Tax payer) employed trolls 😡
I’ve said it many times now, but I’ll say it again, we are desperately in need of “Truth in Media” legislation, and penalties such as big fines, as well as suspension and cancellation of media licences, to support that legislation, and a strengthening of Media ownership laws, not the opposite approach that the LNP are taking!
