Turdball and Di Natale, are a real Double Disillusion!

Turdball and Di Natale, are a real Double Disillusion!Turnbull ++

Well, with all the expectations heaped on Turdball since the carefully engineered (albeit long overdue, and well deserved) demise of The Abbott, the disappointment, disgust and disillusionment  has been steadily  building, to the point where it’s almost palpable.   😯

So finally, despite the initial euphoria of the masses, over the aforementioned demise, and the relief of not having to watch The Abbott embarrass us on the world sage, whilst doing everything he could to make life as hard as possible, at home, for the sick, the elderly, the unemployed, the disabled and disadvantaged, people are starting to wake up to the fact that Turdball is no more than Abbott, in a designer suit!   😡

The frustration for truth seekers everywhere, is that we predicted both how dysfunctional and incompetent Abbott would prove to be, and that Turdball would be no better!   😛

And then, to add insult to injury (and what we were always led to believe to be from the left of politics)  we saw Milne hand over the reins of the greens to the big Dick Di Natale    😯   giving us Turdball the rabid right wing lefty, and Big Dick Di Natale the rabid left wing righty   O_o   :/   😕

Now the greens have been walking on shaky ground, since their “Green” credentials came under suspicion during the Rudd years, when they voted, on “ideological grounds”, with the LNP, against the original ETS, and are in large part responsible for the lack of environmental policy today, that has made us a world wide laughingstock and environmental pariah.   😡

There then followed a conga line of LNP bed hops, making the greens look more like political whores, than progressive ideologues, siding with the rabid right to block policies like the Malaysian Solution,  which ultimately resulted in the mess that is our current Border Farce and Asylum Seeker debacle, instead of compromising their ideals, for the greater good!   😦

In other words, rather than compromise for the sake of getting s0me possibly reasonable outcome, they stuck  to their “Principles” to achieve the worst possible outcome, and their own ideological nightmare   😯

They also voted with the LNP to remove the cap on gov borrowings, which has now resulted in a major blowout in the Abbott and Hockey declared “Debt and deficit disaster” of the Abbott opposition, to what we have now, which by comparison, can only be seen as a “Major debt and deficit catastrophe”

But of course, Dick Di Natale and his greens will take no responsibility whatsoever for any of the policy disasters that their complicity with the LNP has enabled, rather still claiming that they are diametrically opposed to the LNP… WTF???   :/

So here we are, as the last parliamentary sitting week before the budget session comes to an end, and both the greens and the LNP have stymied debate on their own policies,  for the sake of once again getting in to bed together for a quickie over senate voting “reform”, which Dick calls political pragmatism, while Malcontent screws not only the greens, but the voting public, for the sake of trying to hang on to power, and in the process gaining control of the senate so as to further reward wealthy LNP donors!   👿

So while the LNP, rather than negotiate, do what they always do  (Cheat, steal and manipulate) to try to get their own way, the greens in their political naivety and stupidity try to be relevant in the name of pragmatism, by crapping on their own “principles”, not to mention their supporter base.   😯

And while we don’t know for sure if Turdball will call a Double Dissolution, the one thing we do know for sure is that;

Turdball and Di Natale, are a real Double Disillusion!

Greens Senator Richard Di Natale speaks to the media in Melbourne, Friday, Jan. 3, 2014. The acting Greens leader said The Greens will push for a ban on the promotion of alcohol in sport (AAP Image/Julian Smith) NO ARCHIVING

    Morning Truthy,
Democracy is under assault from neocons in Canberra as, with the assistance of surging Greens the bigboys/girls shut out newcomers to the senate.
The sooner this farcical greenstanding is over and a high court challenge chucks all ATL voting out we can get back to voting for individual senators below the line.

    Nice on Truthy 🙂 you are correct we knew what to expect [what not to expect more to the point}

In the Senate yesterday Labors Stephen Conroy destroyed the Greens Lee Rhiannon exposing her 1999 NSW Senate election with only 2.8% of the vote

This was not enough and she knew in advance she`d have to do more so as preferences flowed to benefit her {No1 on the Senate ticket]

What did she do,I hear you ask?
She set up {Greens Feeder Parties} which apparently were created by her or her team and described on a white board how this would work
They had to think of appropriate names for these Feeder Parties so here`s 4 Senator Conroy named in the Senate

1- Young Australians Caring For Our Future Party=preferencing Greens
    2- Euthanasia Referendum Party=preferencing Greens
3- Responsible Drug Reform Party=preferencing Greens
4- Make Billionaires Pay More Tax Party=preferencing Greens

This is going to be pressed hard today and the Greens can cry all they want

If this was Labor it would be all over the news-it normally would be for the Greens as well, but they`re in bed with LNP as Dicky Knee gets it from Maladroit

One must suspect the worth of a bill that requires 38 amendments, nine bought in at midnight. A bill where the minister can’t or refuses to answer simple questions of how it works.

      Morning Florence 🙂

Yes, and also the rush with which it has been brought on, pushing aside other debates and legislation??? ❓

The fact is that we just can’t trust the LNP to do anything in the national interest, only their own interest! 👿

It is a pity this government didn’t stick to kiss principle.Abolish above line. Set number to preference below line. Say 12 or so.

This is a badly drafted bill that requires 38 amendments, 9 added at midnight. Greens seem to e raising them. Things like sections having no headings.

They have been talking about this since last election. Why rushed 4 hours senate review, then rushed into the lower house at last moment.

Why can’t minister Cormann answer simple questions.

Truth is, voting will quickly become first past post even though they claim it is preferential voting. One must according to directions vote 1 to 6. Reality is, marking only i will be accepted. Very sneaky.

Why the need for above line voting when one only has to preference a small number?

I suspect if one doesn’t have to preference all, the number nominations will quickly disappear.

As usual we are being conned.

The government has handled this matter so badly, it could backfire on them. Canny voters finds way around any system.

I think they will have enough evidence from what has and hasn’t been said overnight. The above line voting doesn’t seem necessary in any way. Just complicates voting. They are asking about marking 1 above the line. Will it also be accepted if one only marks 1 below the line

Cormann still won’t answer question of whether candidates on how to vote cards, say vote 1. Cormann will not accept amendment that clears up this uncertainty.

The Greens a few minute ago opposed (in tandem with LNP) any penalty/disincentive against any party that advocates ‘Vote 1’ only ATL or BTL.

This can mean only one thing – the Greens are backing themselves to get enough primary votes to be high enough on the quota list to win that last senate seat.
In failing to outlaw ‘vote 1’ election advice they have indicated:
    1) they want to exclude other competing minor parties – eliminate any preferences that may flow to assist minor parties to overtake them in final counts,
    2) they accept that the Greens will no longer receive significant preferences from any other major party.

They consider they are now big enough to compete unassisted with the two majors.
Good luck with that – the electors may well not agree.
