      We seem to read so much LNP fantasy here in the comments columns, regarding ‘the mess we inherited from Labor”, “Labor will sink Qld under mountains of debt”, Labor lost Qls the AAA rating… And bugger me ! If I read about “Labor’s debt and deficit” one more time, I will get out the canoe join the rest of the NORMAL folk and point it towards NZ !
      ( the Abbott and Newman proof zone!)
      This continual hot humid weather is not helping my attitude either … I really do understand how some folk go ‘troppo’

      I see the Greens. Katter, PUPs, independents, and other minor partys are doing a ‘deal’ to swap/pool preferences … Which MAY hurt LNP more than the ALP. Think it may be best to just VOTE ALP 1 and not number them all…
      Wouldn’t it be nice to know EXACTLY where our bloody votes are going to end up… Pre polling starts here in the morning, and we wouldn’t have a clue! This is a farce.. IMHO

        I was going to be mungles mingleheimer but it just didn`t sound real enough.
        The Electoral Commission prides itself on it`s disservice and information withholding.
        The LNP are busy getting their duplicate ballot boxes pre stacked with pre filled out voting slips.
        Clive Palmer has hired 399 Ompah bands with massive Tuba`s-yes big tuba players have penis envy except for Dawn Kransky who is fantastic and would never be seen dead with a Clive.
        I heard John Katter speak and was surprised how well he spoke-as to whether he means any of it I have no Idea-but they hate the Newman knobs as well.
        Wendy Bacon keeps tweeting her Greens propaganda trying to counter some of my work but the only attack they can do is the refugees policy.
        One Green tries to enclose WA`s Melissa Parke {Labor HoR] into her thingy.
        Whenever I see them try and ride a Labor back I push them off

          You are so naughty … But I love it when you eat your greens. There is one article just now, being defended by the standing Greens candidate for Maryborough. The comments I have tried to post are being ‘moderated’ out mostly. But there are a couple snuck through.
          The story is about the Greens candidates standing for local elections who dont live in the area…. Will try to post it here for you ?? Now there’s a challenge for HO ??

            The line above the thick black one on Truthy`s wordpress page is the URL line.
            URL is the address of a sire.
            Put your cursor-no not DJ- your mouse pointer on that line and RIGHT click
            You will notice it turns blue [you`ve done it accidently haven`t you?]
            Also a box opens and move arrow down to COPY and LEFT click.
            Now come into the lounge and do a comment or reply [do not touch your right clicker]
            Then at the beginning of a new line RIGHT CLICK a window opens and you take pointer down to PASTE -then LEFT CLICK PASTE and wallah-the URL appears.
            You have just done Copy/Paste

    I wonder how Newman feels after he reads the comment by Alan Jones on the ABC site a few minutes ago, where Jones said that Newmans Govt. was the “worst ever” and described him as a “bully and a “liar”?
    For the first time I agree with Jones. I don`t think I`ll be making a habit of it though.

    Another article on the ABC by Paula Matthewson reckons the move is on to dump the “idiot boy’, possibly after Q`landers toss out “Noddy” and his crew.

      What the Journo`s missed however was when he said, “Medicare is great and I want to keep it, and that bulk-billing will be retained for the ” vulnerable” in our community”
      Surely one of the Journq`s should have immediately asked him “Does that mean bulk-billing as we know it will no longer be your policy as it will only apply to the “vulnerable”?
      Unfortunately no one did.

    Truthy, I’m feeling somewhat remote from the intensity of your state election and perhaps that’s not entirely a bad thing.
    I just wanted to extend the hope that TSM’s Queensland residents have been spared the worst of last night’s storm and that you are all safe and well.
    I nearly broke my promise and resumed posting on IA. Techinbris has been in a shit fight with Jaycee over the proper use of the verb, “to man”, as in man the pumps, man the electoral booth, man the tiller etc etc. Jaycee insists that any use of the word man, whenever used in the context of an adult male human, should be gender neutral. DD backed her version.

      Mate the LNP issues in Vic have been resolved, so hopefully we’ll have a similar outcome in QLD, come Feb 😉

      We did have Charlie very restless last night, and suffered the consequent lack of sleep 😯 but other than that we survived it 😀 thanks for your concern 🙂

      Techy’s a trooper, but arguing with Jaycee is a bit of a lost cause 😦

      So is she saying that, for instance, the Abbott government should “Person the pumps” and then “Person the lifeboats” as their LNP ship slowly sinks 😉

        It was actually DD that “fired first”. TechinBris had responded to a post by Wixxy that raised the issue of what is the appropriate terminology to be applied to a person born in NSW.
        Techy nominated “New South Welshman” and DD ankle tapped him over the fact that that term was “gender specific”. They had a few exchanges then Jaycee jumped in with her defence of gender non-specificity.
        She didn’t address the question of the pumps, the lifeboats, the barricades or the concession stalls at the Sunday market.

              The spellchecker underlines Welshperson and Welshpeople but not Welshman so the argument was a moot point because “other” terminology has not caught up with the dictionary form as dictionaries etc update their words/meanings and phrases.
              The unbearable lightness of being a New South Welshman
              The term “New South Welshman”and “New South Welshmen” are still in use according to Google search and are defined as “slang” “colloquialism” and definition.
              So Techin is correct in my book and he is one of those who occasionally use TSM and a target of imbeciles.

    Cassie laptop still giving me grief…not content with her crash/burn routines, bloody firefox has now crashed on me too O_o o_O … had to fall back on the old explorer :/
    To add insult to injury, I’ve been banished from the laundry as HWO and neph do things with plaster board and tiles 😀 – bit much really I mean, ‘I am woman (of calibre) therefore I iron’ 😉 , well that’s what idiot boy tells me – peepers take note, I don’t care if the ‘boy’ bit is pc or not… I swear that lot are going to disappear up their own suppositories of wisdom if they are not careful 😯
    Oh bugger it, Barkeep one very very large bucket please – then I’m heading off for a nana nap O_o … not a happy mel today 😦

          W8 is ok if you let it know who’s boss.
          You can disable the cloud, although some people like to store stuff away from the hard drive, because for most it’s a function they don’t need.
          The thing I hated most was that idiotic start screen designed for touch sensitive monitors, but if you put the cursor to the top left hand corner a small image of a W7 type screen appears and you can go there and add your icons, folders etc and carry on like a normal human being.
          It will default to the stupid screen for a few start ups and then get the idea if you keep going to the good one.
          W8.1 is a bit more user friendly, but like all MS stuff, they keep making it harder to use for no good reason other than to show off their programming skills. You only need to remember how easy Word 2000 was to use and then use, say, Word 20007 to see all the crap you have to wade through instead of having the choice of it sitting at the top of the screen or not.

            Hey Olddavey 🙂 Mate I have two computers that I use, one’s an old desk top that I built years ago that runs XP 😯 and my Macbook Pro that I use for pretty much everything 😉

            Vista was a dog, although 7 cleared up a lot of the issues, but 8 i just can’t get my head around. 😡

            You’re right about word, The older one was much more user friendly 😦

    We could have the TSM Party and promise to give employment from cradle to grave-everyone has their 1/4 acre and white picket fence-their 1.6 children-free education-universal healthcare etc.

    But with Labor there will be work so the 1/4 acre can come etc.

I am very grateful… So if I Don’t want to have anything to do with green weeds, indecisive independents, cranky christians, and piddling Pups, and the Lying Nasty Party, I should just vote ALP 1… Then forget the rest so they can’t pinch my preferences and give them to whoever they like? This system is so confusing… You don’t really know where your votes are going to end up do you! So may just Vote 1 …. Then go home and lock the doors?
    You REALLY have been busy in the kitchen Biggy … Couldn’t you dig out the French Policeman and Summy to give you a hand, this weather is not good for any Head Chef !

      My electorate is “I think” the largest on Earth and the Nats win because of Kalgoorlie/Boulder and Kambalda
      Unemployment has hit there hard now and the grumbles are getting loud
      Tafe`s are closing and there`s no jobs to go to anyway

    Morning Truth Seekers 🙂 and as we move inexorably closer to polling day in our blue ribbon LNP seat, we’ve certainly seen more action in this state election than in previous ones with even the obnoxious LNP looking, for once, like they’re not taking us quite so much for granted 😯

    Although I have to say that our local member, the Mendacious Mark McArdle, has been a no show so far, which will make no difference to his support from the ill informed and rusted on self funded retirees, who will still vote against their own and the states best interest 😦

    But the very fact that they seem to be trying this time, may mean that there’s movement at the station that has them worried 😉 We live in hope 🙂

    That aside, it may be darts today 😀 but I won’t know for sure until I wake my mate up, with a phone call, around 8:30 😉 the lazy bastard 😯 😉 😀

    I had another reflection on my view of the Greens and some of its rabid supporters.
    My thoughts recently crystallised when DJ, who has canned shit out of the ALP for the past 12 months or more has now complained that the ALP would be a traitor to the voters of Queensland if they didn’t take the chance to use the Greens to form an anti – Conservative coalition.
    Now, I find that very curious because DJ has also recently said that the Green’s will probably not win any seats.
    So, if the Greens win a couple of seats (which DJ doesn’t think they will), and if Labor are one or two seats short of a working majority, then the Greens should be given the chance to experience government in a partnership with a party they detest.
    I suggested to DJ some months ago that he retreat to his fantasies, at least I got that part right.

    Hey Frank Ston, like you, I was tempted to go back on IA and offer my support to Simon, Joe and Ron, but won`t break my promise either.
    Just a thought, until recently I believe there was not a great deal of animosity between the Greens and the ALP, but since the arrival on the scene at the I.A site of DJ and his ilk, a great wedge has developed between some commenters on that site between supporters of each party, which leads me to repeat an earlier comment of mine,which is that the Trolls are at work to simply wedge both groups while they sit back laughing at the damage they are causing.
    I`ve been around long enough in politics to pick a genuine supporter of political parties, and I can safely say that people who state they support the ALP (and who sometimes offer genuine criticism of it) on the I.A. site are fair dinkum. I can`t say the same for some of the others on that site, I`m afraid.

    Then by last Friday LNP were $1.20 and Labor was $7.50

        Did you see DD, on the ABC news this morning, trying to interview an LNP MP about his involvement in the proposed, gold coast cable car project 😯 A clear conflict of interest I would have thought, but instead of answering any questions he did a little jig and waved DD away in a performance somewhat reminiscent of Abbott’s “Shit happens” debacle 😀
