About Truth Seekers Musings

Truth Seekers Musings is a place where I can post and archive my political poetry, short stories, and hopefully some of my music.
I am a 58 year old singer/songwriter who has been writing songs poetry and stories for most of my life.
My wife and I moved to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland some fifteen years ago and share our home with Charlie the Schnauzer.
I have been a student of politics since I was a teenager and have a distinct left leaning.
Our children and grandchildren are spread from the Sunshine Coast to Sydney, and we see them as much as we can.
I teach guitar, and have developed my own colour coded teaching/learning system, which I hope to have ready to sell on my website sometime in the new year.
I am also writing a fantasy novel with it’s own soundtrack of original songs and music, which I am in the process of writing and recording.

Thank you. I came across your site from a link at Independent Australia. It gives me hope to think that I am not alone in this weird environment where the god-bothering, paedophile-protecting, racist, misogynist, climate-change-denying, hate-filled, right-wing nut jobs with the support of the oil, mining, tobacco, gambling, armaments and media interests will be taking over the government of my beloved country. To the barricades…

Natalie, welcome and thank you for your comment, my site has only been up for a few days, but I have been posting on like minded sites such as Cafe Whispers and The political Sword.
Both sites have a lot of good information and like minded people, with the exception of a few trolls, who are called out on their lies and spin regularly.
There are links on my blog roll if you are interested.

I think Miglo at Cafe Whispers will be posting one of my poems tomorrow, might be worth a look.

Thanks again and cheers 🙂 😀

had a good opportunity to have a good read of your poems, gave me some time of joy.
    Thought this quote suited
Every age has its own poetry; in every age the circumstances of history choose a nation, a race, a class to take up the torch by creating situations that can be expressed or transcended only through poetry.

Is it possible to email you to ask a personal question? I can’t find an email address on your site (probably for good reason).

Truthseeker, I’ve arrived at your site via IA. Looking forward to regular reads. I thought I hated Howard until Abbott took over…Now I know what real hatred is. In an unrelated musing, I , too, was a guitarist until arthritis in some fingers made it impossible to make some chords so I switched to ukulele a year ago…Fantastic! Anyone who thinks the uke is a toy should look at James Hill’s Ode to a Frozen Boot on Youtube. Mind-blowingly great! He’s the Tommy Emmanuel of Ukes.

Jim, it’s always good to welcome a fellow muso, so welcome 😀 and thanks for your comment 😎

I too own a Uke, and love it, although the guitar is still my great love 😀 I feel your pain WRT not being able to play, as I have a lung disease that stops me from playing the flute and mouth organ, which I also loved playing. 😦

There is also a great Uke version of “While my guitar gently weeps”, by an asian guy who’s name escapes me at the moment 😀 certainly worth a look, and if I get some time later today, I’ll see if I can find it and post it in “The Lounge” .

It’s great to have you on board, and look forward to your contributions to our conversations. 😀

      Cheers 😀

Truthy, I don’t want to broadcast my email to the world, but you know the ones who I would share it with, should they request to have it from you. :{D
Keep up the great poetry. It is a window to the soul and the view you present is wonderful to behold.
    Cheers.
