So, if you work for me… You’re fired!

So, if you work for me… You’re fired!

You're fired

You’re fired

This post was prompted by my relentless efforts to watch more than five minutes of QT, without yelling obscenities at the TV, and scaring all the neighbours, the closest of which is around 40 metres away   😮

Forcing me to the conclusion that QT should come with a disclaimer:

“WARNING! Watching Question Time may be injurious to your emotional and mental health, expensive TV and electronic equipment, internal walls, family pets and your standing in the local community!”    😯

But I digress   😉

In QT, whilst defending the indefensible, Abbott made the statement that;

People don’t work for the government; government works for the people, or in simple terms,  “I work for you!”

Now naturally, my reaction was swift and decisive… ‘Well Tony, if you’re working for me… You’re fired!’   😀

And then I realised why my reaction was “Swift and Decisive”. It was because in the six months that they (the LNP) have been there, we have stumbled from one international crisis and embarrassment to another, with barely a break over the Christmas, and just in the last week we’ve had;A S !

Arthur Sinodinis telling the senate WRT the NSW ICAC enquiry, that “I work for the government!”   WTF?   😯    (So now we see the LNP playing  “duelling slogans”   😉   ) I’m so confused   😯

Due to the aforementioned ICAC enquiry, he stood down, from his position of “Assistant Treasurer” vowing that he would be cleared; with a smug confidence that positively screamed;

  • I know something you don’t know…   😉
  • Rules don’t apply cos I’m Liberal   😛
  • George will fix it!   😉
  • I Fart in your general direction!   😛

Amongst other things   😉

Brandis, playing the sheriff of Nott.

Brandis, playing the sheriff of Nott.

And there is good reason for his smugness, as I’m sure all are aware, by now, that, the law is “owned” by the rabid right, and only  applies to everyone else   😯

Now we know that lying is one of the tools in a politicians arsenal, and though all sides indulge themselves from time to time in what’s affectionately called “Polie Speak” or “Pollie waffle”— which usually includes much obfuscation and lies—  the LNP have turned lying, general dishonesty and obfuscation into an art form.

Lest we forget!

Lest we forget!

Then you add  double standards, and hypocrisy into the dishonesty mix; as was well and truly brought into sharp focus during the Howard years, and further built upon with the Abbott regime, as they introduced the simplistic slogan, and were aided and abetted in their self serving dishonesty by the Mendacious Murdoch and his inherently dishonest and self serving propaganda machine, and you have the foundations for a classic fascist state!   😯

And that’s what we’re rushing towards, with a party that, started as they meant to carry on; by lying and cheating their way into government, and six months in, nothing has changed as they continue to lie and cheat, with their main priority being secrecy and self service!

Now we know that when Abbott says;AbbottPollLiar

  • He’s the workers best friend… He’s lying! (With friends like him, who’d need enemies?)
  • He’s Medicare’s best friend… He’s lying!
  • He has a plan, for anything… He’s lying!

The fact is that if Abbott’s awake, the chances are… “He’s Lying!”

But then general dishonesty must be a prerequisite for joining the LNP, as that’s the one thing they all seem to excel at!   😯

Morrison1+For instance, Scott Morrison tells us and the parliament, pretty much daily, that there have been no successful boat arrivals for X number of days?

Now these claims go for the most part unchallenged, but is what he says true, or is he misleading the people and the parliament?

Now call me naive, but I have always been of the belief that if someone walks into an Embassy, and claims asylum, then that Embassy is supposed to give protection to said person, until such time as their claim for asylum can be assessed/processed, just as we witnessed with Julian Assange.

I have also been of the belief that our navy and customs ships are regarded as the equivalent of floating embassies in as far as; an Australian embassy in another country is regarded as Australian Sovereign Territory, in the same way that those ships are/should be regarded, as Australian Sovereign Territory on the water.AS 2

The problem (one of many) that Morrison has, as I see it, is that when a number of asylum seekers spend the best part of a week incarcerated on an Australian customs ship, after being “Rescued ” from their sinking boat, they have actually arrived on Australian Territory; ergo a successful arrival!

Then there’s the sad fact that our well respected military, have been made complicit in the lies and misrepresentations of this LNP mob (I struggle to call them a “government”, i just involuntarily start gagging   ), and are set to be scapegoats for Abbott’s bad (and I use the term loosely) policies!

TowbackWith orders that, according to many, amount to nothing more than piracy, by our navy. While others would argue that by forcing asylum seekers to get on Australian owned lifeboats, point them in the direction of Indonesia, wave them a fond farewell, leaving men, women and children to their own devices, in what has been described as basically ‘A sauna, inside a cork’ (My paraphrase), is tantamount to Australian “Torture and People Smuggling”!

Or in simple terms… “Human rights abuses!”   😯

Australia?… Surely not?

Then there’s the farce that is laughingly called “Question Time” which has, courtesy of the

Bronny '

Bronny (I’m not senile… Am I?…What was the question?) Bishop

LNP’s very own ‘Bronny (I’m not senile… Am I?… What was the question???? ) Bishop, become “Questions Without Answers Time”  (QWAT), and a verbal shooting gallery for LNP Dickheads    😯   to take potshots at the opposition, with scant regard for the rules/standing orders/protocols, common decency or truth!

And yes all in the last week   😯

These are but a few examples/reasons why it is perfectly legitimate to say to Abbott:  “You, your speaker and your LNP are a bloody embarrassment and disgrace…

So if, as you said,  you work for me… YOUR ALL FIRED!”  😀

Would you buy a used car from any one of these?

Not a bad idea that 😉 tell her to start acting more like a “Speaker”, and less like a “Madame”, and we should maybe rename parliament as “Abbott’s whore house” as well! 😯

We all know how you feel Truthy. It`s bloody frustrating standing by and watching this disgusting mob destroy parliamentary democracy and the country as well.
For them to get away with it, gives truth to the saying that “Australians are the worlds greatest shock absorbers”.
But shock absorbers do fatigue and “break”.

He’ll wait till after the WA Senate re-run to re-assess. I’m praying for Scott Ludlum, Labor and no minor parties. However don’t think anyone up there will listen to me as I’m an atheist. The Sydney Morning Herald 23 March 2014:

Some of the country’s lowest-paid workers could lose almost a quarter of their weekly wages under changes quietly introduced by the Abbott government.
Thousands of workers will be hit by the changes, which will strip between $172 and $225 a week from the pockets of full-time contract cleaners who work in government buildings.
The changes are among the 9500 regulations to go under Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s red tape ”repeal day” on Wednesday.
Buried in more than 50,000 pages of regulations and acts of parliaments to be scrapped is the revelation the government will abolish the Commonwealth Cleaning Services Guidelines for cleaners employed on government contracts from July 1.
The regulations are a form of collective bargaining introduced by Labor that lift the wages of workers hired by businesses that win government cleaning contracts, by between $4.53 and $5.93 an hour above the minimum wage. This brings their weekly wage from $664 to $836 for a 38-hour week for level 1, and from $724 to $950 a week for level 3 workers.
United Voice, the union representing cleaners, would not comment on the changes before consulting its members. It is understood the union was not aware of the changes and is trying to negotiate with contractors and the government in an attempt to mitigate the effects on its members.
Labor introduced the Cleaning Services Guidelines in 2011 to tackle the exploitation of vulnerable workers in the contract cleaning industry. A 2010 Fair Work Ombudsman audit of cleaning contractors found that 40 per cent of audited businesses did not comply with workplace laws. It recovered almost $500,000 for 934 underpaid workers…..

As if this costing cutting will result in any huge savings for the government – all it achieves is misery – along with care-work, cleaning truly is a thankless task.

We Australians in our arrogance think we’re superior compared to the concept of “untouchables” in the Hindu religious class system – where is the outrage from our Judeo-Christian descendants in power?

Truthy, I`ve swiped your picture at the end of your great Post, of that Tory mob who are destroying our country, and used it on my post on IA. On breaking news, (Paul Howes` resignation), I`ve never liked Paul Howes, and now that Abbott and Pyne have come out and said what a great bloke he is (” The type that the Labor Party needs” ,they said), it confirms my judgement.
If, as some are tipping, that one day he will lead the Labor Party, that will definitely be the end of a once great party. Bloody hell ,it`s almost buggered now with Shorten leading (!!!!!!!) but Howes would be the icing on the cake for those mongrel Tories if he took over.
